You jam it and so what? It continues to fly in autonomous mode and you still need to shoot it.

They would keep flying, but drone cannot know where it flies without GPS access So they will be useless ducks at sky.

They have just developed some.. not fielded yet..

They would keep flying, but drone cannot know where it flies without GPS access So they will be useless ducks at sky.

They can use commercial GPS.. not that difficult to figure out..these guys managed to put bombs on very small drones and tested them in Iraq on tanks and personnel or for targeted assassinations in cars..

It is pretty difficult actually I am talking about jammer, if drone gets into jammer zone, it cannot access any GPS, doesn't matter if it's military GPS or commercial GPS For more info ;

I so understand that.. but it is possible when the attack is sudden and brief.. otherwise the jammer should be operating around the clock which will hinger the base's aircrafts movements and communications!!!!?

Then you can just cancel new flights until threat run away, and if there are new landing aircrafts, you can direct them to other airports

Btw, that is exactly what happened, during drone attacks one military cargo plane was in the air and intended to land in airport, but he canceled his landing and directed to another airport. That is a standart procedurement to save landing plantforms from getting hit from attacks.

Even if you can detect drones just 1 km away, and you open jamming system at that point, 1 km radius would be enough to turn drones into blind flying ducks.
