Let me correct that for you... for most of us and for most of our history we were followers of the Dharmic religions...that is we were "Hindus"

Thats the real issue! ruling elite is so much westernised that they will do anything to make west happy ..some time its for financial aid, sometime military aid even if that means selling the soul of avarage pakistani. These ppl are just there to protect status quo. They will say our constitution says nothing can be against the rules of Quran/sunnah but at the same time everything is done to make anything implimentable but Quran and Sunnah.

When i see chief justice i do not see some1 who is an alim or a qazi which has knowledge of islamic jurisprudence. I see some1 who follows gora laws and wears that ugly thing on his head which is relic of colonial history. There is no connection between our elite and average Pakistan. Elite talks different, lives different, wears different and behaves different .
This case is about some1 who is accused of blasphemy then why is not 1supremecourt judge an alim. It is not like these judges have indept knwoledge of islamic law and they have studied islam like molvis, allamas, muftis and qazis! I can with 100% say that most of our judges, politicians and generals will not be able to recite even the kalima properley and these ppl will tell molvis what islam is? I am not saying what molvis are doing is oké but at the sametime these ppl have done worse ,,,, way wayyyuy worse then molvis will ever do.

When you see the Chief Justice....whoah...you ought to say when you see the Islamic Republic of Pakistan!!!!

One needs to change the system or rather enforce the Constitution properly....saying that a case of alleged blasphemy ought to go before a judge who is a scholar of religion....do you also mean that a case of alleged murder should also go before a judge who is a scholar of religion? Or that a case of alleged robbery should also go before a judge who is a scholar of religion?

Putting the garb of a scholar of Islam on a donkey does not make the donkey an alim. Despite what you call it.

My family in Karachi gives Zakat, they do fast during Ramzan, they don't wear skirts--shalwar Qameez is the dress-- and women usually have dupattas on them, though no one forces them to do that, they sacrifice goats during Bakra Eid, and they offer Namaz, though not always, they would be deeply offended if Islam or its prophets are insulted, but they wouldn't kill for that.

Trust me: They are like most of Pakistan even now. They may be 'liberals' in some dark paranoid mindset. To me they, and most Pakistanis like them, are simply tolerant Muslims.

I am not sure which religion you belong to, but as per my religion (Islam) you are not allowed to kill an innocent person. Actually the type of people that are permitted to be killed are the TLP types.

“Whoever slays a soul, unless it be for a manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men; and whoever keeps it alive, it is as though he kept alive all men.” (Surah al-Mā’ida 5:32)

Going by the above verse these Judges will be awarded with deeds equating to saving the whole humanity, but all these mulla toola are demanding sin equal to killing whole of humanity.

Now here is another verse from the Quran

“And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his punishment is Hell; he shall abide in it, and Allah will send His wrath on him and curse him and prepare for him a painful chastisement.” (Surah an-Nisā’ 4:93)

So after the fake fatwa from the TLP goons, if anyone kills any of the SC judges, guess what will be waiting for them in the afterlife.

As for the Judges not being Alims, go read the judgement of Saeed Khosa. He has given more Islamic references then these mulla toola have ever read.
