Let's not kid ourselves, when JFT was inducted it didn't have 3/4th the bells and whistles Tejas has when Tejas was inducted.
We just have higher standards than you lot, that's why you inducted an incomplete fighter and if I'm not wrong it still doesn't have a 3 axis fbw.

Literally JFT was the only fighter you lot could induct in numbers.

There is a reason why Tejas' R&D took so much time, i.e. the sanctions, but then again how would you lot know anything about R&D you lot have next to nil contribution in JFT.
Unlike for you lot we don't have sugar daddies who would do our work for us.

seems strange as Pak had already attacked India 2 years earlier through Kargil and IAF didnt bomb Pak in the stone age then.

Also in 2001 Pak US ties were at all time high due to Pak helping Bush in Afg so Americans would have never let it happen so the claims seem a bit strange.

And unlike some people our work is not done for us so that we can give it bombastic urdu names only for it to have next to nil pakistani subsystems in them.

Firstly rhetoric, every fighter aircraft has bells and whistles Tejas just had more when it was inducted while the JFT was as with lowered expectations had less. That's just fact.

As for why we are looking to buy different aircrafts, I can ask you the same question, why are you lot still obsessed with F-16s if JF-17s are so great?

How naive can one get.
Different aircrafts have different roles and pray tell, how many airforces out there operate only 1 type of fighter?
We buy many because we can and unlike you lot we don't have a dearth of resources neither.
