If i remember correctly, they had mentioned that there will be IFR probe after 25 units of block 2 but here pictures are emerging of 33th unit but no IFR. Block 2 production is about to complete but still no prototype of block 3.

IFR is on the starboard side. You are looking at the port side on #33.

That light you see on #30 says the IFR system is there.

In the photo below, the plane is not plumbed for IFR. The yellow highlighted panel is single piece. In the versions with IFR, the panel is split in two about the red line. See #229 and #2P-33

The double row of riveting one is for panel to open and get access to install ifr and the other is permenent panel near tie of the individual in the pic

I think again guessing but certain as 229 had similar river ting

Anyway dual seater news is more critical than this ifr thingy

Totally gutted all my photos of Block II serials have disappeared because my photo bucket account was full !! Arrghh

Some JF17 from a month ago

JF-17 2P-37 was spotted at the flight test station

JF17 2P-41 was at the structural buildup shop

And JF-17 2P-47 had its parts on a jig at the sub assembly shop

How many final assembly station were seen in the program ?? Last time they said it will be taken from 4 to 6 it takes 1 full quarter so 4X4 or 4X6 ie 16 Ac or 24 Ac per year production

Nothing beats jf for paf if fly away cost for export is $16 million than for paf it’s around 8-10 million where can you get 3-3+ gen for that price

Only short coming is range and external load which is now been improved to 4300-4500 kg plus in block 2/3 and range may be in block iii with Cfts

But range short coming is wrt f16 and not older f7 or mirages 1200 -1350 km combat range in a2a role

~700km range in a2g role
