@Pakistan Space Agency
You have done a very good job with this thread. Thanks for compiling these posts. However, I noticed that on a lot of pictures, the copyright information has been cropped out. I think that is not only unfair for the people who were gracious enough to take these pictures and then made them available for everyone to enjoy, but also degrades the reputation of this forum as well. I would suggest that any picture taken from a website with copyright information, such as Airliners.net, should include the name of the photographer to give them due credit for their work, wherever possible. I think that is my first and foremost request to you and the mods, and other people in general.
Second, it might be a good idea to set a standard for the images you are sharing for the serial numbers. I was thinking of something easy, along the lines of the following criteria:
a) Post just 1 image per aircraft
b) Select the highest quality image available
c) When possible, select an image of the aircraft in the air vs on the ground
d) When possible, select an image of the aircraft by itself vs in a formation
e) Select the image of in-service aircraft vs ones under construction or in primer
If you guys think this is a good idea, we can update some of the images posted by @Pakistan Space Agency
I will help where I can, though I am sure most people here will have something to contribute in terms of higher quality images.
I can provide some images I think we can improve upon if you would like.
This is unfortunately a photo-shopped image as well.
Thank you for your suggestions brother, all are welcome.
My wish is to have at least 3 pictures of each:
- Aircraft parked on the ground.
- Aircraft in flight
- Aircraft behind other people
In regards to copyright, I agree that all credit belongs to all the people who actually took these pictures. I simply downloaded these from Google and some of these may have been reposted, edited many a times by other people, therefore, I do not know their origin. While some are from screen grabs of videos, newspaper articles, etc. It was a mission to try and collect all of these for each serial number over last few weeks.
In regards to the quality, I certainly welcome higher quality photos. So, if you do have for any of the ones I've already posted, please do share and I will replace them where possible.
Do you or anyone else have 15-202 please? And, I can't tell whether 15-211 is genuine or a photoshop.
