That is a misnomer - that first crash was because they were supersonic and had equipment attached to the wings to measure performance for a local simulator. They overstressed the airframe trying transonic and supersonic turns which was not within OEM recommended stress regime.

nobody knows exact output of Chinese short/medium/long range air to air missiles, but one thing I know and probably everyone that is these missiles are not meant to be only exported to PAF & others in need these missiles need to be used in near future against usaf & of course USA supplied countries around China
so China has to fight hard to bring them near or at par with USA stuff & in past people even criticise China of stealing F35 stuff through cyber hacking in that case missiles of western technology shouldn’t be a problem to steal

Hi,

For a modern fighter aircraft---it is the most difficult thing to do is to shoot down slow moving objects---.

You be travelling at a minimum of 350-400 knots an hr---the drone is flying at 100 knots +---by the time the aircraft observes the drone and targets it---it has already ingested the drone or flown past it---.

Same thing with bigger drones---they fly a little faster---but by the time you line them up and take a shot---your aircraft would be flying thru the debris field and swallowing the debris---thus blowing up your engine---.

The best option is the missile---.

Launch a million dollar missile to shoot down a 50K drone---be safe---stay alive---.

Its true lol. Show one pic of JF17s doing IFR. There is only one pic that was used by PSF guys for laughable claim of "removable" IFR probe, and that was some FC1 testing bed in china. In all the JF17 block 3 delivered, no IFR probe.
