JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Question: the last report notes that 5th gen WVR is being considered for Blk3 - what candidates and is A-Darter there.
@Quwa
As @Gryphon noted, the options are A-Darter (mentioned by a PAC/JF-17 Director in Alan Warnes' article for the 2015 Paris Air Show) and, probably, PL-10E (generally safe to assume there'll be Chinese candidates).

Either way, I think they'll settle the HOBS AAM, I'm still a little worried about the HMD/S situation though.

The Israelis dominate the market with the JHMCS 2/Targo, which literally only leaves the Thales TopOwl-F as the sole platform-agnostic HMD/S option. Here's hoping to Hensoldt Optronics South Africa (HOSA) or China...

Sir piston bethay hotay to blue/white smoke hota.
Black smoke mtlb fuel ziada :-)

I thought the smoke issue was solved with better fuel?

From the video, it seems the smoke kicks in when the pilot pushes the throttle or engages the afterburner.

Image resolution and zoom in, is too high hence, more dark smoke is visible. Might be one of those few without recent tweaks (awaiting in line to be done by an overhaul) showing smoke but still, doesn't matter much while mostly we see Thunders having clean flight without any smoke trail.

Please give some room for a known fact of RD93 smoke trail while accelerating/pushing throttle with AB.

Picture was probably taken at the moment when pilot punched the throttle to climb out. The black smoke is unburn fuel and every aircraft will create it some more than the others going from low to high speed.
Why so much fumes?is it a block 1?
