the video was not what i was expecting and i've seen the videos before.
I don't have pictures or videos but PAC does have all those machines. I have interned there many years ago and have seen them. Unfortunately, I only have my word.the video was not what i was expecting and i've seen the videos before.
i was expecting pressing machines stamping out metal and cnc machines creating parts.
do you have any pics/videos of that.
so they can makes jets from plain alloy rolls then? no importing parts from china.I don't have pictures or videos but PAC does have all those machines. I have interned there many years ago and have seen them. Unfortunately, I only have my word.
I understand the nature of your questions, don't worryso they can makes jets from plain alloy rolls then? no importing parts from china.
what about servos and the wires do they make them too?
its just that i have seen an image of a jf17 body wrapped up in china being loaded onto a paf ll-78 and i just want some kind of clarification on its it just pakistan make the planes out of parts from china or are they making the parts in pakistan?
heres the link to the jf-17 in china: why is is being loaded ?

can you explain why its being load on to a paf ll-78?
do they make the alloy rolls or do they import that?
please dont think im trolling cause im not.
fair enough it does seem you guys do make the bulk of the plane from raw materials.I understand the nature of your questions, don't worry
Some of the early JF-17 units were mostly manufactured in China and assembled at PAC. Gradually the workload has shifted to PAC.
As far as I know the raw material is imported and not manufactured in Pakistan.
Some structure of the jet is still imported from China but a majority of the structure is built up from sheets at PAC.
Obviously, I wasn't able to see every facility at PAC so I will only confirm what I know to exist. There are shops that make screws, fasteners etc. There's a place that makes all the wiring harnesses for all the aircraft (they also make harnesses for the army's cobra helicopters). I don't think they make the individual wires themselves but I could be wrong. They make rubber parts which go into almost everything, like o-rings etc. There's also a place that makes all the fluid lines. There's another place dedicated to surface treatment of parts. There's another place for casting. For the JF-17 in particular there are huge CNCs. The electronics manufacturing section is equally advanced but I don't know in detail the processes and items I saw but they do start from very primary materials. The point I'm trying to make is that it is a rather large setup which has a solid industrial base. I must admit aircraft manufacturing and electronics isn't really my area of expertise so I didn't know half the things I was seeing.
Frankly, there are so many things there that it would be easier if you ask whether something is there and I can answer whether I've seen it or not.

but the alloy is chinese right?Class of material - classified, not an alloy though. It is all imported.
@HRK - 58% is a figure for 'general consumption'. Our input varies in sub-assemblies. Overall hovering around 50% - that does not include vital assemblies - eg. H/L compressor assemblies.
always ur big fanClass of material - classified, not an alloy though. It is all imported.

i believe over 55% is owned by Pak.fair enough it does seem you guys do make the bulk of the plane from raw materials.
whats the program share structure in terms of the entire jf-17 project? 50:50 pakistan:china ?
I think Chinese also have a production line for jf17
Do you think the knowledge gained from manufacturing JF17 was the main reason were able to repair the damaged Saab Aewc in-house?My dear how do you think they are contributing the 58%-60% percent in manufacturing in JF-17 air frame .... ???

(Green Highlighted parts are Made in Pakistan, pic taken from JF-17 Brochure)
plz note we are holding the rights of 58% manufacturing in addition to this WE HAVE THE OPTION TO MAKE 100% IN HOUSE as per PAK-China WORK SHARE AGREEMENT for JF-17; plz see the attach video (@2:07) unfortunately its in URDU
& plz if you are asking this then what should we expect form other new comers who are least inform about the defence developments in Pakistan .... ??
man you should be aware that FIRST 8 JF-17 CAME FROM CHINA and Sub Assembly was started in PAC Kamra in 2008 (June 2008) but the first 2 JF-17 came to Pakistan in FINAL ASSEMBLY KIT in 02 March 2007 We JUST ASSEMBLED THEM AND PAINT IN DESIRE SCHEME (plz see ACM Tanveer Mehmood Ahmed video @1:50 onward, his speech in English)
(and this @ 1:40; but again in URDU)
the pic you have posted must be of early JF-17 but I am more inclined to believe that its of the FIRST TWO which were came to PAKISTAN in FINAL ASSEMBLY KIT which these attached pic in your post are showing .....
