Block-2 roughly comparable to an F-16 in size and role.But in Payload capacity, compared to the F-16, the JF-17 has half the bomb load, 8000 lbs where as F-16 has 16,000 pounds. It only has 20,000 lbs of thrust compared to the F-16’s 30,000 lbs due to which JF-17 top speed is mach 1.8

Block-3 version will be improved one due to AESA radar and a improved RD-93 Engine and this will bring the JF-17 up much closer to true parity with older models of the F-16 but still 20 years behind from today modern fighter jets.

Correct, 20 years ago AESA was intorduced in USA fighters

cant match IAF in quantity, But till 2005, PAF always enjoyed quality edge over all IAF jets, as till 2005, F-16 was our main fighter jet, and Mig 29 for India. All knows F16 much better than Mig29.
But now Indian enjoyed advantage in both quality and quantity, which is not good for Pakistan

yup avionics and radar both are much better, after all 50 year difference between these two jets. But the problem is that Mirage can still perform ground attack due to much better pay load capacity where as Jf-17 can only b good as interceptor at maximum, rather than ground or air fight against the best jets

In its current form I don't think it will ever be a replacement for Mirages.

You do realize that JF17s were a part of the package that successfully attacked indian bases on the ground, right?

yes but JF-17 went as cover fighter for Mirage, all the ground bombing was done by Mirage

It has done many ground attack missions on the western border. It provided cover for other aircraft...so if it wasnt capable dog fighter why would it be sent to provide cover?

off-course jf-17 is capable, but for proper and effective ground attack, its payload capacity is very small,
