PAF totally redesign the JF-17bk3 like Mitsubishi F-2
25% larger wing span
taller like Mirage fighter
than this will help thunder to carry better weapon payload
ie AA & AG weapons
PL-15 & Raad missiles
otherwise thunder bk-3 will be same like bk-2

The image you are using is actually for illustrating the difference between the F-16 and the Mitsubishi F-2, and has been available for number of years, at many defence forums and publications.
Not to mention very inaccurate as it doesn't reflect the physical difference between the two version, they way you are describing. Please keep things original when making a point.

I personally know the team that left in late 90s to start the work in collaboration with the Chinese.
At one point there were more PAC graduates going to Chengdu than Pakistan.
thanks for information

Initially there were 35 engineers in the team but the team kept expanding.

Hi,

The primary reason for the F2 design was that Japan wanted its aircraft to carry two heavy anti ship missiles on its wings---around a 1000 kg each---.

So---for the aircraft to have stability after the launch of one missile---they had to increase the size of the aircraft for better aerodynamic stability---

Hi,

But why would japan change the size of a perfectly designed aircraft---?

ecm pod on chin?? Its from Deka ironworks so...

JF-17-2019-wip-01.png
Its not on chin, the pod is on the center line under fuselage hard point. Just clarifying so that people do not mix it up with a under chin mission pod hard point that we keep discussing as a possibility for future planes in order to free up the main 7 hard points.

.
Its more about ground clearance than height. Thunder can be fitted with Raad on wing pylon if needed.

H2, H4, Ra'ad hasn't been integrated on JF-17 for some reason. That's a fact. If needed? Need is always there. Just like 27 Feb strikes, H-series were carried by Mirages. Need was there yet JF-17 is not integrated with these weapons.
