JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Thanks to HOTAS and fly by wire at work, the stick is milky smooth to move. The only effort the pilot had to make was during high G maneuvers. I recall non-ROSE mirages and F-7 sticks were like bricks. Also notice the jitters and vibration during high AoA is non existent.

Those vertical rolls were faster than usual. The pilot must be having fun flying this thing

JF17 have a radar size of 650mm (+/-20) equivalent to f16 radar size extremely good for its size.
KLJ7A have a size of approximately 650mm with 1000+ TRM, this is gonna make for an extremely potent package.
KJL7A is made up of GAN/Si modules with max power of 20+W, So it's a promising radar.
PAF is going with the swash plate configuration rather than 3 arrays.
our Thunder is 4+ generation now.

Future development should be the evolution of JF-17B into JF-17 single-seat but keeping the spine and using some of the 2nd seat space for avionics and rest of it for fuel. This configuration will give a 15-20% boost in fuel.
In addition to that PAF must go for CFT not going for it is almost criminal.
There is no reasonable reason not to go for it. Plumbing, money, drag etc are just the lamest excuses.

Spine + CFT + Air Refueling is gonna essentially turn the JF17 into a medium weight w.r.t functionality.

PAF has selected Low end version of KLJ-7A as per the GM of 14th Institute

Based on the interview, there are two versions of KJL7a:one is "HIGHEND" that has two sidevison AESE like your PIC,the other is "LOWEND" that has no such aese。And the "LOWEND" version was chosen by PAF 。

In the interview, the presenter had asked such a question to de GM of 14所(the manufacturer of KJL-7a),and the GM confirmed that the LOWEND version was chosen by PAF.

Blk 1 is no more. Just blk 2s

Nose 660mm
7A high-end and low end are virtually same in range n modes. Only difference being side arrays and power consumption. Swashplate offers better frontal coverage.

Lfk for upgrade is a done deal.

What can be the possible reason for choosing lfk for upgrades? Does it also have a swash plate?

What is the coverage for lfk in terms of degrees?
