Well, must be that as well. This glitch with the weapons interface was as recent as last year. Funny thing is, it was even replicated in the new simulator that they built with the swedes so it its in the software most likely.
You know sir these things need a lot of money to be very frank Chinese have only one interest in JFT to export it,on other hand we have, that all we got so PAC works days and night Chinese are half hearten regarding JFT,still i think PAC got a lot from it, pour money and you will get good fighter simple rule.....i don't know currently how much is being produced in PAC...what is your opinion regarding mach-2.0 and redesigning it with using AL-31F power plant...

Yeah---really. Can't fix your house and interfering in the affairs of others.

Hi,

PAF is really made up of thoughtless people. GREEN is the COLOR OF LIFE ON THE GROUND---it is the COLOT OF PEACE and to display it on a machine that will be used for death and destruction----it is totally brainless.
Paint it RED the colour of blood.

. . . . .
Not needed.
Sir
just a random question
as we all know block II is not even launched
but when PAF will start working on block III after launching block II or after producing the desired numbers of block II by PAF

Not really, when the Block-II was finalized they started the plans for block-III.. so when block-II will reach say 25 produced..they will have the improvements and process ideas in place for block-III. It is also very likely that some of the last block-IIs may be turned into Block-IIIs.

Just a question, MAR-1 was mated on the BLK1 right? How does it receive the initial target information? Since it's anti-radiation, does the on board EW/RWR provide that or the radar itself?

The onboard system can provide it the data but its ideally mated with the EW pod designed for the JF-17

Ah okay, so basically the initial guidance is provided by the on board EW sensors? Same would be the case for the Mirage III/V?

Initial guidance if without the EW pod that is specfic to the JF-17(not the KG series) would be provided by its internal Radar Warning receiver which would tell the missile that it is facing a threat from say 60km away in its 2 o clock quadrant. Provide a general location and estimated range and the aircraft then fires the missile. After which, taking this initial data the missile flys out towards that target and relies on its own sensor to pick up the electronic emissions it was told were there. In this case the MAR-1 will then fly in that direction while its sensor looks for the emissions, if it pick them up then it will calculate the targets exact position with it own seeker to end up with a 2m accuracy(for the MAR-1). Even if the target switches off its radar, the MAR-1 still ends up within 10m of the target in this mode. However, it may be that the emitter is a moving target so when the MAR-1 gets closer its sensor still does not pick up the seeker.. while there is a mode within the MAR-1 which makes it continue looking.. it will self destruct eventually if nothing is found.

With the Pod however, the Missile gets told that there is a Sa-11 or a Sa-3.. located at bearing 040 and is located 61.2km away at so and so coordinates. This makes the missile go after the EXACT location of the emitter with a 10m accuracy from the start. In addition, the MAR-1 keeps getting updates about the target from the JF-17s Pod so that even if the target moves, the MAR-1 is still heading towards it. A much higher probability of a kill.

Is there a possibility of CFT's in block 3? I mean i know there is but would going for it be feasible?

When time come this thread will be converted into Block 3 thread. Please wait till thread 10 or 11
