Please be practical..no need to shoot stars by paper planes....250 JF 17 till 2016 is not achievable by Pakistan alone...
And give the source for any information...No need of one's thoughts..

dont see block 2 till next year 100 block 1 would be produced to replace the old mirage fleet.may be next year the block2 production will start repalcing the F7s and so on the next few years block 3 to replace the old F16 and the new J10B will be inducted this year

.
50 have been produced already
How much time did it take to get these 50 done ?? 3+ years .. Right?

another 50 were promised by China last year.
The delivery hasnt even started yet..

That leaves around 150 Thunders over 4 years for Pakistan and China to produce or roughly 75-80 each. Even 80 each would make it 15-20/year so 250 by 2017/18 is quite possibly a better target.
No.. It leaves 200 as I said before. Also Pakistan does not produce these jets independently and is dependent on a lot of kits that 1st get manufactured in China and then sent over. So in a nutshell, China and Pakistan work in sequence and not in parallel for creating JF 17s. At a realistic rate of 20 or so JFTs in an year (which is a higher rate than last 3 years), it will take another 10 years for Pakistan to reach a figure of 250 JFTs.. So 2022 or may be 2020. Unless there is a significant increase in build capacity at both ends (china and Pakistan) for JF17 assembly lines

25 JF-17 will be produced from next year. Pilot conversion is causing delay for third squadron as last 15-20 JF-17 production was finished in March, all delieverd to PAF. Only official induction ceremony remains

you mean HMS is ready for block 1 and can be used in the war scenerio right now?

For F-7P Pakistan wrote every line of the software for its HUD...and that was years ago..
Today Pakistan has the capability of building HMS..if its not there, there must be a reason..May be not required..

No HMS/D is operational on block 1 or can be used in war scenario No HMS/D tested on JF-17. Once we saw south african HMD testing on some dummy but that was not tested inside JF-17.

because no missile in JF-17 inventory has off bore sight capability?

Interesting point! Yes SIPRI shows PAF received PL-5s for the Thunders. Why would they pick the PL-5EII over the PL-9? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each system?
