Currently 16 are in service while next batch is ready to be inducted. Wikipedia is not always right buddy, 150 WILL BE inducted before 2014-15 i bet on this unless something drastic happens. You do make things up and get an appropriate reaction :)

Nabil i have just given you the source

All i have seen is 8 prototypes delivered and a $650m deal chengdu for 42 new planes to be license assembled in PAC.

Thus far around 8-10 have been built

Leaving 14 more by 2011 end

14 more end 2012

And remaining 8 by middle of 2013.

*** That would concur with Air forces monthly statement by ACM Tanvir in

OF COURSE YOU MAY HAVE PROOF OF 25 per year and 150 by 2015...

Which you can share if you wish the source " or is this your so so"

.
I do not need your source, boy when i have my own sources far more reliable than wikipedia or the likes. Hint, do you remember seeing the plane #116 in Zhuhai recently??

.
looked nice nabil i like the zuhai pic of both the thunder esp the fc20

.
You didnt get my point boy, i meant the presence of plane # 116 means that there are at least 16 frames already in active service, and the next squadron of 14 is around the corner from which i think two already in service hence# 116 seen in Zhuhai. Add them up and you get how many? 28. First squadron had 14 second has 14 so it will be 28 planes, roughly 2 squadrons very soon. By the way, now there are 4 JFT assembly lines in PAC KAMRA instead of 3. Work speeding up smoothly.

Sir Nabil,

How much time does it take to build one aircraft? 2 month?

Approximately a month if the production is in swing as it is right now or 5-6 weeks at best.

That means after 5-6 weeks, 4 fighters will be getting ready together or are 4 production lines working together produce 1 aircraft in 4-5 weeks? If it is the first case, 1 aircraft per assembly line in 4-5 weeks, we will be getting upto 36-40 a year? Which means 110 new jets built by Pakistan alone.. What about Chinese parallel production line which is expected to produce similar numbers of plane for us? If we calculate all that, we might have chance to get 220 JF-17s by the end of 2013.

no my friend, first squadron had 14 planes AT THAT TIME! now it has 16 - two more added!
proof - look at the pic of #16 u will see "black spiders" emblem, which is the first and only squad as for now..

a squadron usually have around 18 planes, we had 14 at that time so PAF made a squad of 14, but im guessing that 1-2 more aircraft will be inducted with black spiders, then they'll move on to next squadron

14 More in service by December 2011

I while back i suggested that ACM tanvir in air forces monthly had suggested PAF would have 50 THUNDERS by 2013.

I was shot down by PDF members saying i was making things up.

I WILL STICK TO BY PREDICTION 50 Thunders by begining or mid 2013.

nothing like the ridiculous 150 by 2015 THAT SOME ARE SUGGESTING

Another prediction ?? I just remember the prediction a few months back by another of our Indian armchair general cum aviation expert that Chinese 5th Gen would not take to the skies for its maiden flight before 2020. But the prediction came to reality rather 10 years earlier, in 2010.

Anyway, the 2nd Sqd would be up and running very soon as one of the Mirage ROSE Sqd stationed at Kamra has already been moved to another base, so that place for JF-17s can be made. Plus, work on the officers quarters for JF-17 Sqds is about to finish here in Peshawar, brand new JF-17s and their pilots getting brand new homes too :)

CAIC - PAC

JF-17 Thunder

Delivered; 26
Current; 26
Order; 24

- Note: Although a total of 8 examples had been delivered by mid-March 2008, the type didn't fully enter service until early 2010, when 26 Squadron stood-up with the type at Kamra. The initial production contract, for another 42 aircraft to bring the total to 50, was announced on 7th March 2009. The PAF's total requirement for the type is estimated as being as high as 250.

Thanks for correction buddy but i was told black spiders will have a strength of 2 squadrons for now then later one will be shifted to another base. I could be wrong though..
