It was delayed cause they couldn't reach an agreement bro. But I still want us to have a JV with Pak and China. Here

I would like to see Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey JV. Kind of like F-35 project in the future

I don't think it's a bad idea either. However, the F-35 became more or less a nightmare for the Americans. They are still having a lot of problems dealing with its engines ,so virtually they wasted nearly a trillion $

The JF-17 simply does not have enough power to reach Mach 2.2, and it was never designed for those speeds.

but now with RD-93 and use of composites mach 2.2 can be achieved dear...
and i hope block 2 will be atleast mach 2.0 if not 2.2 and block 3 will be as per planned means atleast mach 2.2 or +.......

While talking to one of my friends (who maintains close links with AF), he told me that according to his cousins ,the JFT of Hussain shaheed disintegrated in mid air. He also told me that the aircraft was being tested at Mach 2.2. I remember we did have quite a lot of discussion on the topic but still every now and then something exceptional turns out. He told me a lot of other things as well which I would share, if required.

How do you see the "power"? I always thought it can only be felt, did you ever fly a JFT and felt it under powered?
Was this plane designed by idiots? who didn't know how much power would be required for this plane to carry out the specific roles it was designed for?

Well I don't understand one thing......... The Jane's just reported that JF-17's RD-93 performance in joint exercises was in almost of the configuration of the Chinese Su-27......... Okey, lets just accept it for a sec.
If it is true then why JF-17 Thunder still looks 'Underpowered" ?

and you beleive that PAF will slect an aircraft below mach 2.0 for the nuclear delivery purpose???

soo whats final expected speed of JFT block 2...
and can we expect mach 2.2 or not from JFT with 100Kn??

In modern day air warfare, where missiles can travel at Mach-5, jet fighter agility counts more than just the speed.....none the less as Sir Fatman said, the JFT has a top speed of about Mach-1.8.....same as the twin engine F/A-18 Hornet.
