Yup. I'm assuming the 2 wetpoints next to the fuselage Hardpoint to be able to fire SD-10 in the block 2 version due in a few months.

The offical JF17 website FYI

DECALRES KLJ7 has the standard radar in blk1 and 2 BVRS (not 4)
JF-17 Avionics | JF-17 Thunder

i THINK PEOPLE ARE USING THIS AS THE GOSPEL TRUTH as present

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I am saying that 2 BVR's can be shot while equipped with semi active BVR missile but when jf17 has ACTIVE RADAR missiles it can fire 4 at a time. The 2BVR's that are stated in website are actually about semi-active radar homing missile's.
And SD-10 are active homing missiles's.
There are two types of BVR missiles active and semi active!!!
First of all do you guys even know what is semi active and active

When JF-17 Block 1 can only carry 2 MRAAMs/BVRs then it seems foolish to have guidance for 4 missiles.

Guys, the guidance capability of the radar has nothing to do with the missile carrying capability of JF 17 in general, a Flanker can carry several BVR missiles but can't guide them all together either!

JF 17 can carry 4 x BVR missiles in total, because the inner and midwing hardpoints are able to carry it, however it will depend on which role JF 17 will be deployed to decide how many missiles it will carry. Interception with limted payload and range/endurance requirements will offer 4 x BVR + 2 x WVR missile configs, CAP without mid air refuelling capability will require more fueltanks and that limits the numbers of BVR missiles at least until twin launchers will be integrated.

Whatever you guys want to believe I don't care , some fool just said that klj-7 is used in jf17 but I am not freaking talking about it all I am saying is, jf17 can shoot 4 BVR targets with active radar homing missile's.

care to explain this sentence of yours please?? I said KLJ-7 is used and so does the PAC website, so does my source..however, the 2 bvr vs 4 bvr is a mystery

nabil bhai... as u said "AESA is next in line"

so should we assume block 2 will incorporate it or it'll be upgrades on the KLJ-07 (as given in the dubai show news article and also in this interview with kanwa)

If it is the latter than could you please expand on the information of the upgrades on the KLJ-07 as it is already stated that the KLJ-07 was upgraded at KARF and according to which

Kanwa had an interview with PAF's General Javaid Ahmed, during which he stated that:
- In 2012, they will be bring out the JF17 Blk 2. The main improvements are the addition of IRF, the development of a twin seat version, adding datalink and development of an export version JF17.
- happy with the performance of the KJL7, so no immediate plans to switch to AESA (KJL7 specs: detection range for fighter sized target 130km; can track 16 targets and engage 2 at the same time; have SAR mapping capability)
- The Chinese indigenous engine is currently undergoing flight testing and may be a while before it is fitted to a JF17
- In 2011 the JF17 test fired: 1 x C802 (hit a seaborne target 90km away, max range 180km); 2 x LS-6 bombs, one is a 500kg GPS guided weapon with 60km range and CEP of 15m, the other was a 250kg laser/IIR+GPS guided weapon with a range of 65km and CEP of 5.3-7.5m; SD10 and other weapons.

Secondly do you have any information regarding some training of JFT's with the block 52's like we did with the Blk-15's ?

Thank you for your time sir.. your posts are always worth a read.. :)

P.S a little while ago one of our senior members was questioning the integration of SD-10 with JFT, this interview makes it crystal clear that SD-10 is integrated and has been test fired by the JFT :)

so as far as i see that in block 2 only some upgrade in radar and avionics just

no change of engine
no change of radar
no increase of hard points
and not reducing RCS anymore

m i right?or make me wrong?

Which website? The unofficial fanboy website?

JF 17 can carry 4 x BVR missiles in total, because the inner and midwing hardpoints are able to carry it
Did you even take a look at the link I posted?

July 2011 is outdated? So what is acceptable to you? Fanboy links?

OK I quit you guys win , I am happy with my source. and please i never said a fan boy site

This Picture was released when first PT-01 flew in 2003. This picture came to surface in 2004 - 5 as i remembered.
Even U can see Non-DSI style old Intake.

Then In 2006 PT-04 flew which is very much current version in PAF service.

Then JF-17 was on Static display at IDEAS 2008 at Karachi, Pakistan and this configuration was at the stall.
Although the bird is the same as PT-01 but never mind it gives a clear idea that it is JF-17. PAC don't work well at animation / CGIs.

And so we have another missile configuration to disappoint you that JF-17 was designed to carry an BVRAAM at wing-tip just like F-16. A very old Chinese Website made Missile configuration showing Wingtip missile at PT-01 style JF-1.

and AFM's GCI image of upcoming JF-17B twin seater.

Enough Clarification, I guess.
