Why.....is it insulting to use dumb bombs against terrorists?

Only because an Indian asks about JFT, it doesn't mean there is something suspicious behind it. Just a question about the present status of JFT, that's all.

it is from the time when the first of the JFTs were formal inducted and were given operational status.

The initial track of the JF's development cycle is geared towards A2A integration.. basic dumb bombs were the first to be integrated..even before A2A.. but that was to ensure operational capability(and buy decision time for the weapons fit).
Right now.. the Radar and CCIP mode in the JF ensures the same accuracy as the F-16.. pretty good at low altitudes.
And since the TTP are currently deprives of any Serious threat to high speed jets.. that is enough for the job.
Also.. the AF would like to use as much of the life of the remaining A-5's as possible.. which is why unless there is a need for a media show.. the F-16's are sparingly used against the TTP.
A-5's in level bombing are usually good enough.

Who said PLAAF needs to induct it before Pakistan ?? Is there any official statement to that or as usual you are shooting in the dark ?? And what clearances are you talking about ?? PAF is already involved in the J-10 program since last few years, so what clearances are needed now ??

The complex comprises of four factories -F-6 Rebuild Factory, Mirage Rebuild Factory, Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, and Kamara Avionics & Radar Factory over an area of 10 square kilometers. It mission is “to produce and support weapon systems for high state of operational readiness of Pakistan Air Force” according to Pakistan air force officials.

In response to the Western arms embargo, Air Commodore Nadeem Aslam said that there are always ways to do something if people are determined to achieve the aim.

The official gave special thanks to China’s support to Pakistan’s air force and PAC, whose growing customers now include Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Africa.

PAC can provide a wide range of aviation engineering services, such as maintenance, repair and overhaul of C-130, F-16, Mirage and other fighter aircrafts, airborne radars and engines.

It also has advanced facilities to test JF-17 Thunder, jointly developed by China’s Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Corporation (CAC) and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex under a strategic collaboration project.
