JF-17 Thunder is Capable or Not ?

JF17 is a good capable Fighter if you are fighting an Air force equipped with MIG21/27/29 fighters and some Jaguars.

It is a massive leap wen it arrives in nos from TODAY for PAF. Today the PAF is frankly a very poorly equipped Air power. 90% of its fleet is second hand mirages 5s upgraded and chinease built MIG21s ie Second generation technology...

JF17 is a late 3RD generation fighter ie near 4TH generation technology and a BIG threat to IAF far bigger than anything Today.

Is JF17 comparable or better than SU30MKI answer = No

Is JF17 comparable better than rest of IAF = yes.

We should avoid these kinds of threads - JF17 and MKI are comparable in the same sense apples are comparable with oranges - these are both fruit but not, obviously, the same; we can contrast them with each other -but how does that suggest if one is better or not from the other? Modern Airwar is a system enterprise and it's not helpful, it's confusing to think of it as an individual endeavour, it may once have been.

well friend with all the respect i have for you and all the good will that is there between us from first day i guess i have every right to advice you when i think you are going wrng!
i mean do you really think the topic is worth a thread! it have been discusse a hundred time on this very forum, you ahev been a regular user so perhaps you must have tried to search it on existing thread, or you may have asked it on the J17 thread. this news is availabe all over the net dear.
i gues i know you so i can say that you wont take this post as an offense and just a friendly advice for good of your image and betterment of the forum,

i will request the MODS to merge this thread and plenty of other threads that are craeating a lot of confusion!

that is the most important point for me, i mean we have threads for comparing JF with a ell of other planes starting form F16, going to Su30 including HAL Tejas, rafale grippen and all!! we have seprate threads for all thes topics which could have been better explained under the banner of:
JF17 comparison wiht other modren aircrafts
then we have seprate threads for its capabilities, be it be BVR engagement, radar, or now, night engagement abilities..
i have great respect for the person how is responsible of starting this thread but this thime i think he have made a mistake!
we have a great thread for JF17 multirole fighter and it will be better to discuss all these issues there!
i wonder why are the MODS gone silent!
