JF-17 PARTICIPATED IN RUSSIAN-PAKISTANI BILATERAL EXERCISE

. .
We dont have any radar capable of containing the BVR missles.

Although they did say BLK3 might have AESA radar, Not sure if i remember correctly.
@Windjammer can correct it.
Thats incorrect ... Jf17's radar range is enough for sd10 and its already mated with jf17 .... Although i am not sure about FoC

.
And how do you know ?
I know that ask your professionals who would tell you.
Radar is OK but Chinese didn't approve or give or achieve FOC for air to air mission. They only clear JF-17 for air to ground missions probably after the completion of block II they will conduct trials and mark it as air to air also but till now JF-17 can't do any A to A mission.

Sorry for false flagers to brust the bubble .. Here is video of WVR and BVR missiles livbe test from operational thunder ...

Nkw go to hell false flager

I read somewhere that the US has offered India to build F-16 or F-18 Hornet in India if they are willing to buy those planes in large enough numbers.
They have been offering F16s, but my personal view is that US weapons ever come with full ToT and then spare parts become a major issue... so, the question is... would India trust them on such crucial equipment?

Well in that case India will need to make sure in the agreement ( if they accept the proposal ) to have the clause of un-restricted spares supply.

don't think such contracts hold in case of sanctions mate... spare parts would be a major problem with US always (not that it is a problem with others as well)

Agreed, that is exactly what happened to Pakistan when US stopped the suppy of F-16 jets that Pakistan had already paid in full. So if they can stop the supply of fully paid jets then they can stop the supply of spares as well.

Maybe India is better off not taking this deal

India will not face these issues due to their policies and alignment. read b/w lines. India will be in the same league as that of Japan, UK or very close to where Israel is vis-a-vis USA. Pakistan was never in the inner circle of trust. even though we thought we are or for some time believed that we are in there.

This time around india will go for US jets with full ToT end of life F-16's. pretty soon you will see india getting patriot missiles. it is a matter of time before india will get similar level of engagement as that of UK. this time around India and US are in a long haul agreement. may be of significant time spanned over decades.

containing china is not a short term goal. in my opinion it will be spanned over 5 -6 decades or more. and then as always there will be a titanic shift in the world and a new world order. unfortunately, this time around India is on the wrong side of the history. not because they are siding with USA, but because there policies will drift them away from its region.

in my openion US is of the interest to create an alliance with india and iran along with Iraq and Afghanistan. Turkey is already in Nato. Jordan is aligned with them. Saudi cannot survive without USA. that leave Pakistan. and i guess where does it leave them. i believe there is a new CENTO type alliance in offering with Japan, SoKo, Taiwan, Australia, India, Thailand, Iran, Egypt, Singapore, Thailand and Iraq. other countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Jordan and GCC are left to be on the fence with tilt towards USA. that leaves iran influence areas like Syria and Lebanon and India influence areas like Srilanka, BD, Nepal and Bhutan. US will remote controlled these two areas through Iran and India as much as they can without getting bogged down.. A pretty good strategy.

Where does it leave Pakistan?

Ehm, so do they carry these for fun sake? These are live rounds by the way. And the KLJ-7 radar has more than enough range to guide these puppies safely to their destinies.
