JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

Yes, but again I don't understand why it is posted again and again ...

Really? IMO it is not visible since the chin-mounted pylon is located only on the right intake.

This is not the pylon, but the gun

Thanks for correcting me. I did not have this clear close up and misunderstood same for the chin hard point.

.

Months ago, the Chief of Staff responded to the request for a report from the PRO legislator, Federico Frigerio, where it became clear that the fighter of Chinese origin exceeded the requirements set by the Argentine Air Force (FAA).

The Argentine Thunder proposed by CATIC is newly manufactured (0hs), it will have an excellent AESA radar, an In-Flight Refueling System compatible with that used by the FAA, modern weapons of all kinds (including medium-range air-to-air and anti-ship missiles), state-of-the-art data linking, smart helmet,
single screen data presentation, and above all and most importantly, government-to-government Yuan funding.
The cards are already on the table and in a few days the FAA will inform which is the best of the candidates in the technical-operational plane.

So J-20 single long MFD is available for JF-17 and being given as an option export customers. It was PAF who didn't go for it in Block-3 and kept 3 MFD layout

Kudos to PAF to come up with this plane despite all odds be them financial or western restrictions.

Imagine if this plane had not materialized. Instead of 148 Jf17s and counting, A dozen or two F16s sitting somewhere in storage along with the 20 AH1Zs and hardly any money to buy European planes.

I am not into using sources that I can't name But from what I know is that block 3s would play havoc when in numbers. (You are welcome to discard third paragraph... 😀).
