That is a platform we cannot modify and supplier wont give the needed upgrades...

I am convinced that we will see J-10C (export version) in PAF colors because with induction of AESA equipped Rafales, PAF F-16 fleet would become vulnerable. The EW capabilities of Block-52 F-16 squadron may provide it with some option to survive an attack, but this carries an element of risk that should be unacceptable. Modern warfare without AESA & low RCS (< 1m^2) will soon be an exercise in futility, in the South Asian theater atleast. I doubt that we will see further air-warfare hostilities until IAF has inducted Rafales in meaningful numbers and that may not take very long. In this context, looking for used F-16s would be counter-productive.

Pakistan would not be able to afford J-31 and if PAF does indeed get it, I doubt the number would go beyond a squadron - too few to make a major dent.

We all know this since ages.. But don't know why PAF is ignoring this existing threat.. Rafael is not an account which we can be ignored easily... We definitely need 40+ J-10cs within a year or two... @MastanKhan

PAF only have limited 18 unit F16 block 52+ which used them is risk, any lost is huge lost to PAF， remaining F16 already near end service life. JF-17 Block 3 can cover those early F16 unit.
Anyway budget/cost still need consideration for PAF, if not wrong J-10B/C price around usd 50 mil, J-31 price around usd 70 mil, at lease hope PAF can start with small quantity like 12-16 unit first for 1 squadron, to built up early pilot/maintenance team. even 8 unit i also can acceptable.

F-16s are a fucking curse, The sooner we get rid of them the better.
However let me correct you our older F-16s are not near end of their service life as they have been MLU and they are pretty close to Block-52 in terms of their capabilities. Still i would like to a see a more potent fighter with no stings attached such as J-10s.

but usually after MLU, it can other 12-15 years means some where around 2025, those F16 A/B have to retire to.
not really long to go, but that time JF-17 III should be in massive production.

What is the combat radius of J-10C (with and without drop tanks)? I have seen very low figures on the internet which I don't think is true.

This low figures seems to be the only negative point of J-10. Hope this will be increased in J-10D.

We all agree ( with below suggestions) and we are submitting this message to Government of Pakistan/PAF, to purchage at least J-31 OR J-10C ,IMV, HMD and HOBS missiles,AWACS, and ground radars, possibly operating under SAM cover.
If current PTI goverment stays for 10 years than there will be enough money to purchase all above grocery List.Because previous Pakistani goverment in 20 years were money laundering,corruption and all army projects were almost frozen.

This low figures seems to be the only negative point of J-10. Hope this will be increased in J-10D.

also the engine is a problem as well. it is prone to high failure rate.

J-10c is multi role same like our own JF-17. if we purchased J-10 than it will effect marketing of JF-17 . I think Pakistan should purchase J11 or J16 which is air superiority fighter jet and true replica of su30/35 with much more speed than SU30/35

Yes the same Su-30 which got fried by our very own Thunder....there is no point in getting exited...lets just wait for the Block-3 and then decide what to do in the next step

su30/35 is one of the best fighter thats why china have 100 of them, yes we kill su30mki and we will kill more of them in future IN SHA ALLAH but the main reason of killing is Indian pilot poor skills

You are not getting the point....we dont have the financial luxury of buying Su-30 or 35 for that matter....lets get Block-3 first and then focus our limited cash on developing a 5th gen fighter in collaboration with either China or Turkey...

i knew we dont have cash, infect even if we have , than its still difficult to get Su35 from russia because of indian influence, I was asking for chines j11 which is copy of Su30 and its better to purchase j11 instead of J-10c

Taiwan upgrading their 144 F-16 fleet to o V standard a cost of 5.33 billion Dollar that roughly 36 million per plan. if relation with US later improve Pakistan must upgrade their fleet towards F-16V standard.
Beside F-16V J-10C is only logical at this moment to counter Rafale and super Su30 MKI threat .
