I fully agree. We have previously adopted this policy with the incorporation of IFR probe in 229 onwards with retrograde incorporation int oother planes. Although the changew was much more minor compared to the fitting of AESA Radar.Id rather we have a fully functioning and tested AESA radar vs trying to rush just for the sake of it and ending up with something that does not meet our requirements or the challenges it will face
Lol....if had arrived 4 years ago you still woud have said should have come earlierNormal prototype / release cycle by August
It was already planned to do a launch of Block III 2019 a bit late from my estimate thought it would have been done in 2015, full 4 year late at present rates
For the plane itself a mile stone
I strongly feel we need to make 3 more factories to ramp up production so modernization targets are met, factory in every province specifically away from line of control
Though terms "roughly the same" and HMD are very encouragingMost interesting aspect is the claim that a whole batch is being produced, not just a prototype.
And quite disheartening that AESA may not be there from the get go and may be added later.
Peacetime - CAC can produce 40 J-10c and 10 J-20 per year.Does the block-III have reduced RCS, a.k.a new airframe or will it be flying in the sake skin of block-II ?
For J-10c, how quickly can China furnish 36 units if asked? Pakistan and India may have to see a war within next couple of years. Can the delivery and training be done within due time?
