JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

Minutes may be an exaggeration unless all the internal piping is done. Then minutes is probably right. Maybe 300 minutes to 400 minutes loool
less than 30 min as reported in Alan Warner article, all the plumbing is inbuilt only the outer part will have to be attached if & hen required consider it as the application LRU principle on the last attachment of IFR system.

Bhai...I think u are forgetting I am an aerospace engineer with a masters in aircraft design from cornfield. I worked for BEA and Ricardo as well the DRAE Farnborough. I know how long things take...60 60minutes to fit an aerial refueling probe is almost impossible. Unless ofcourse you know better. Also course mate does exactly this at a Cambridge based company that specialises in aerial refuelling probes.

I am not negative...I know it can be done quickly but under an hour. I question that. Have a nice day
dear there are pics of blk-II available which show all the plumbing related to fuel systems you can search those in the related thread, only the external part is required to be attached not all the IFR fueling system
which makes it less than one hour = 60 minutes
30 min

This is false and very much misleading since the Block 3 left is much larger and not to scale!

Please delete this faked image.
oh plz don't always go to show panic attacks this pic was not showing the difference of size or wider intake theory.

It is only showing certain changes like front MAWS on intakes, change of placement pitot tubes wider and bigger HUD the very basic difference. ONLY FRONTAL VIEW of BLK-II and BLK-III nothing more

to show these changes there was no need to perfectly scale both pic even then I scaled them as much possible, I know both jets were not at the same distance nor the angle match perfectly.

IT JUST SHOW BASIC DIFFERENCES DUE TO NEW ATTACHMENTS ON BLK-III THAT'S IT NOTHING MORE AND THESE PICS ARE NOT "FAKE" but cropped and adjusted to the same height and widths to be attach these in a single pic

There is no need to delete that post

You should have added a disclaimer: "Not to scale" for those who would obviously object at the very next moment that those pics aren't similar.

But especially as a highly respected senior member you must know exactly such images are again used by less knowledgeable embers as proof, the intakes are wider, the fuselage is bigger - it may eventually even use a WS-10!?? - and so on ... it is misleading and you know it. So why posting such a bad one when much better images are well known and widely available?

No need to you have mention the source this was his mistake which he might have made because he simply was not aware about the background of this particular pic

Done I actually have put disclaimer on that pic while posting it on my Twitter account but here I did not mention it as I think many members here are more sensible then general Sample of population on Twitter related to defence matters

I think the MAWS on JF-17 block 3 are shifted towards the top of the tail section? That's visibly different in these pictures.

The 100th Roll Out Ceremony was done during the day and this new one seems to be at night. Could they be different?

Not different but from the same event it was done during Sohail Aman shaib tenure and the pic under question is part of set of pics released you can search it on this forum as well.

Rollout happened in evening as far as I remember.

I checked the main thread on the 100th roll out ceremony and all the image links are dead.

I remember in a documentary one of the air force guys at PAC or in an interview mentioned that it takes 45 mins

It's a really big and heavy plane.... They started to pull it out in the afternoon and obviously they managed to pull it out in the open by night... Nothing wrong in that.... Happens....
