Isn't JF 17 a Chinese aircraft? and if it isn't , what exactly is Pakistan contributed to the program - hardware/software wise

58% made by Pakistan, including tail, mid-fuselage and wings, rest are the Chinese responsibility, RWR and its software is Pakistan made and some radar related software patches is also from Pakistan but you are right sir basically Chinese designed it specifically for PAF sir

Yes sir your right but we are increasing indigenous content in it,and remember sir air to ground munitions are also mixed some Chinese, some western and some local made

Engine is Russian Rd 93 .
Radar is chinese KLJ 7 produced under license by PAC .
Weapons are of Chinese , US , South African and Pakistani origin
It was designed jointly by engineers from CAC and PAC .

Can we have a automatic reply to these very same question from our Indian friends cause they flock in like Zombie.

I think there should be automatic reply . these people forget no country has 100% fully indigenous defence industry ( US and Russian being exceptions ) . Heck , even look at Saab Grippen . It is amalgam of US , French , UK , German and Sweden sub system but even then Swedish call it indigenous .

Wah it is just miracle . Countries placing orders even before maiden flight... So these countries don't evaluate the jet, but just place orders pre orders for mobiles.... great..

I see this as B model developed at the request of an export customer.

But it can be not just good trainer, also a good SEAD/DEAD, CAS, EW bird in today's world second seat allow control of UAV/UCAV too.

@danger007 , Thunder was evaluated extensively by some countries, like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and quiet a few African countries. They were just waiting for the arrival of dual seated version to further training and evaluation. Arrival of B version has made it more attractive package altogether.

CAC is now like PAF's second home.

The next station will be SAC, more likely to get a close look at J11d and J16. PAF is our family member.

Will CAC offer 5th gen solution to PAF or it will be only SAC??
