Jets Over Islamabad...

Hey guys,
Did anyone in Islamabad just notice the presence of jets, at like 8 pm, today? There were many of them, but I couldn't figure what was actually going on... Was it an exercise? Was it an intrusion by enemy jets(you never know lol)? What is going on? It's pretty unusual to see them here at Islamabad, especially at this time. Can anyone care to explain?

I have been noticing increased activity from chaklala air base since the recent indian missile test.

@Certain Somebody Yes...It was quite unusual jet activity over Islamabad tonight around 8.I know C130 regularly takes rounds around Islamabad daily but today something unusual was going in Islamabad sky...I saw atleast 2 F16's and atleast a single F7 over Faizabad and heading eastwards..(thats where our nearest border is)...

For getting to nearest border these jets esp F-16s do not have to cross Islamabad first. May be this patrol is part of Tempest II.

I've confirmed from my source (very senior and already active service official) that there is no such activity going on in Islamabad.

IN FACT, i am sure that it is NOT!!

Here, i posted this about one and a half hour ago,

it is 12.34 PM as per local time here in Pakistan when i am writing this post, (lets see what time this will show) so the image must have shown that particular post to be made around 11:00 AM? it says 6:53 AM and i was sleeping at that time.

In fact, the opening post that @Stealth mentioned to have been made at 7 AM is showing a totally different time at my screen:

The fighter jets over Islamabad is no biggie. Plus there is that exercise going on as well so it may be related to that.

I believe since the server is US based, it logs the local time which is some 9 hours behind PST.

Some kind of major exercise is going on. JF-17s were flying in Peshawar non stop all day long & late in night also. Saw 2 Mirages taking off from Peshawar AB.

Suggests some major PAF exercise is underway.

When ever fighter jets are stationed in Nur Khan base, you can be sure that either there are hostilities or some exercise is under way....i understand these days a detachment of F-7s is operating out of there.
