The summit was embarrassment as Saudis have considerable influence and we are not doing well economically. But things are changing. With UAE and Saudis sucking up to Israel, their stock on the street will plummet.
We Pakistanis are at fault also, during General Musharraf time till now we should have built alot of dams, we wouldn't of had the energy crises, also could have bought in electric cars, bikes to save oil/gas. This would have saved us billions of economic loss, plus imports bill.
CPEC and Gwadar should have been in full force, but we wasted decades to start building it, then wasted time giving it to Singapore. Where was our long term plan?
Our people keep voting for corrupt leadership? Where are the honest hard working Pakistanis? Where are the reformist political parties? Where are those people who love Pakistan and want it to develop? I believe our public is still naive, they dont vote for long term success.
We had so much terrorism in Pakistan but our government could not even make a policy, some terrorist sympathizers have become state sponsored scholars, I am sure our intelligence knows very well but fail to counter it.
If all of the above was implemented with full force, we would be a strong independent power.
