Circumcision was clearly part of Egyptian life from very early on in their civilization. According to Egyptologist Wallis Budge [1], there was a very early God of Circumcision whose job was to maintain the fertility of the Nile banks. Another early Egyptian myth contended that the sun god Ra circumcised himself and from the spilt blood from his penis fell and created two other gods, Hu and Sia, sprang up and went on to create the universe. In another version the god Ahmen, creator of the universe, when he found himself alone in the universe, masturbated and out spewed mankind. One issue that is commonly raised is that mummies reveal that 'some Pharaohs were not circumcised'. In fact the hard evidence is that just ONE Pharaoh, Ahomse (16th century BC) was not circumcised [5]. Possible reasons could be that he wanted to change the religious rules (as had other Pharaohs) or that he was haemophiliac. Inbreeding was common in the royal dynasties, and haemophilia would have become obvious before the age of circumcision (below). Egypt led the world in medical knowledge at that date.

Taliban is considered terror group to some, when it targets civilians, that is terrorism. A individual Palestinian in occupied Palestinian territory targeting foreign troops, is an act of self defense. You can't do mental gymnastics around that.

As for Egypt, Egyptian culture is Egyptian, not "Arab". The only reason why people refer to it as "Arab" is that Egypt happens to be an Arabic-speaking country. Otherwise, the truth is Egyptian culture is indigenous to Nile Valley civilization. It's got nothing to do with the culture of Arabia.

People should stop mixing language with genealogy and culture. The Arab World is simply a region where Arabic is spoken as a primary official language. That's about it.

As for Palestinians, they're indigenous to the Levant region. Most of them are actually descendants of Jews who converted to Islam and adopted the Arabic language more than a thousand years ago, so the irony is that they're genetically and culturally related to the Israeli Jews, despite all the animosity.

It's similar to the situation in Cyprus, where Turkish and Greek Cypriots hate each other due to linguistic and religious differences, despite the fact that they share the same genealogies and culture.

Of course, most people will feel offended if they were told the truth.

In the eyes of Palestinians this attack was aimed at occupiers and can be considered justified from that point of view.

Israel must stop building illegal settlements in the West Bank, end the blockade of Gaza and withdraw from illegally occupied land in Palestine. As well as return the Golan Heights to Syria.

It is unfortunate that young people (young soldiers) must die but this is entirely Israel's own doing and that of its politicians that are elected by the Israeli people.

If Israelis want to live in a safe and peaceful country they should vote for politicians who support the two-state solution and the above that I mentioned.

That would not solve all problems but most of them.

The Arab world almost unanimously agreed to the Arab Peace Initiative back in 2002 (so far the best proposal to solving this age-old conflict) but Israel of course rejected this plan.
