Well, thank you for that. I did read that bit about a Islamabad professor claiming, "India belonged to the Muslims, When British left they should have handed it over to the muslims". Well tough luck, we are rather happy with ourselves, especially now

I am trying to take a middle ground here, I rather wish you apperciate it. When you have two parties, both parties have a rightful claim from two differnet prespectives on the same piece of real estate. Now we can argue all our lifetimes and more on the legitmatcy of the claims. Or we can compromise. A compermise means both parties should be compensated at some levels which are acceptable to them as well as they will have to give some away to the other party.

Indians claiming is *** as important to the Indians as much as Pakistani's claiming IOK. Now, it is a significant step from the Indians they have left their claim on ***. It is quite unrealistic to even consider they will part with IOK. And for Pakistani's to think, when talking about Kashmir Indians and the rest of the world wouldnt include the whole of Kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir of pre-1947, is nothing other than sheer stupidity. In that sense, World will see more sense when India drops claims on *** will Pakistan keeps on harping about IOK. Kashmir problem will die down in the next 10 years in my opinion.

That has to be one of the most retarded statements ever. Why not go further back then, and hand it over to the descendants of Chandragupta Maurya or something.

How did this guy even become a Prof. Didn't he realize that the days of kings were over?
Even if India and Pakistan were to be united, it would obviously have to be a democracy or atleast a communist state by 1947 standards.

This comment by the parlimentarian was extremely stupid. It should not be taken seriously by anyone. These are the sort of people who repeatedly ask the government to give up all support to the US and who think that somehow conflict with the US and India is the right path to pursue.
