The issues are intermixed. Emotions for one find vent through other and vice versa.

If the Govt wants to restore its faith in the people, then it must issue orders to Coast guard to engage Lankan Navy if they harass our fishermen. But as of now, the CG does not even respond to distress calls.

CG should do all it can, our Govt. but is useless and one of the reason is a lack of a sizeable national level politicians from the southern and neglected states.

Or at the least allow our fishermen to carry arms.

They have time and again said, give us arms we can take care of the Lankans. There was a proposal mooted by the TN state govt. I dont know what happened.

But I do not think it is legal, CG should handle it.
