I may not agree with the way she lives, but she was a one who never compromised with law and order. As a women living and winning battles against men's is no easy task. BUt she had done it repeatedly. I may have differences with her, but she is also responsible for making TN efficient. Iron lady of India if I may call it. Had the guts to collapse governments (nothing to be proud of but she was strong), called the shots, one of better administrators from India.
A revolitionary women Indeed. RIP Amma. Creates a huge political vaccum in TN.

Some time back TN became the hottest destination for FDI in India .... Modi complained to her about Shashikal asking for bribe from some MNC and they decided to move to Gujrat ..anyways we lost a great administrator who knows how to get things done
She crushed LTTE elements when they were at their peak in TN. Noone dared to oppose her when she had decided something. What she might have chosen may be bad, but as a leader she never budged from her position.

She was a powerful force resisting Hindian domination. I am afraid her successor may not have the courage and force.
Karunanidhi is also only months or a few years away from death. His son Stalin does not seem to be a nationalist. So there is emptyness too.

We have to think what to do to protect Tamil interests.

Never understood India's penchant for turning actors into politicians. I mean the list is endless...
you mean tamils not Indians as such... because its not a trend elsewhere.. an actor has higher chance of getting elected to office in USA..
ontopic: my sentiments are same as @Indika 's
