I do not deny Periyar's influence and reach, it is/was same as Nehru's. Nehru too did some good work.But History has this habit of taking a cold hard look, cut through the BS and deliver its verdict.

Arvind Kejriwal's speech is also impressive and he too is a legend. Time will tell, what kind he really is.

Periyar hated Hinduism and worked hard to destroy it. That is a Fact.

The only thing more disgusting than the joke of a judiciary in this country, is the disgusting dumb-asses who voted for fatty.
This is not a 2 party country, where only 2 parties contest and everyone is held at gun point to vote for the one or the other and choose the "lesser evil". The fact that this mindset is prevailing demonstrates that, there is no aptitude and rational thought in the unwashed masses.

Rather than vote for any other party which has a clean image, they vote for the "less corrupt" in their view(which is obviously bollocks anyway) and are sending a message that.. "Hey..as long as you commit crimes and corruption which is less severe than the other party, I'll still vote for you". So the criminals continue to keep on doing corruption, only this time, with a lot of experience not to get caught, and appear to be less corrupt than the other.

So what if the third or the fourth party which you voted for doesn't win this election? You atleast be clear in your conscious and vote for the decent guy on the helm, and in time with regularly eroding vote base, the people in power will wake up and take notice that, no matter the corruption, big or small, people will not tolerate corruption and criminals anymore, and slowly the parties will get in line and boot out the criminals from politics. But here in this country, we are seeing people voting for criminals into power and sending a message that "its ok if you are corrupt and a criminal, we will still vote for you!!!" What a wonderful country this is!!!

The moment either fossil or cholesterol get voted into power, everything automatically gets defacto legalised! Corruption, hooliganism, crony capitalism, murder, extortion and every scum will ooze out from the woodworks trying to get his piece of pie from the Tax payer money, because the majority have just given a clean chit for their actions.

Actually, I just don't believe that democracy can work. For democracy to work people need to be smart, rational and logical. Those are the last words I can use to describe the people of this country.
EITHER make voting happen with only people who have passed a simple IQ together with a current affairs test(95% would fail in it anyway),OR.... I wasn't born at that time but, I miss the emergency days.
