Japanese economy taking a hit

lol Without our Taiwanese bosses, your export would have reduced by 30% or even more. What a loser!
Do you have ancestors?where were they from?If your ancestors know they would have such offsprings like you, they would surely castrate themselves.

i think some other countries need the old tech more than india.here is an example:vietnam.even the old techs are 100 years before them.there would not be an auto company without the help from other countries.so please don't laugh at them .the old techs are really important for them.

I like your humour. But the reality is Vietnam follows more or less the economic path from China, but is not using China´s technology but Japan´s high tech.
Yeh Japan supports Vietnam to the goal of becoming an industrialized nation in 2020.

Economic-wise, this isn't really that bad. In reality both China and Japan will continue to have extensive economic relations and trade with each other.

There are tens of millions oversea Chinese drive Toyotas or Hondas as well, one can imagine what it'll do the Japanese car makers if some of them 'decide' they like to buy some other brands.

(Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp's China sales fell about 40 percent in September from the year before, while those of rivals such as Hyundai and BMW jumped, underscoring how badly Japanese brands have been hit by a territorial row between the two countries.

A prolonged sales hit of this scale could threaten profit forecasts at Toyota, Nissan Motor Co and others as China, the world's biggest car market, makes up a bigger portion of their global sales.

The dramatic fall-off in demand for Japanese vehicles has been an unexpected boon for other foreign brands, with South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co saying on Friday its China sales climbed 15 percent to 84,188 vehicles last month.

As demand evaporates, Toyota, Nissan, Honda Motor Co and others have been forced to cut back production in recent weeks in a slowing, but still promising Chinese market.

Japanese car makers have been the most visible losers, although there have been signs of the tensions affecting other sectors, with All Nippon Airways Co Ltd (ANA) saying late last month it had seen a wave of cancellations on Japan-China routes.

Semiconductor maker Rohm Co Ltd forecast a decline in orders for the second half of the fiscal year ending March, citing significant weakness from automakers.

"The second half is not looking very good, it all depends on how much impact the events in China will have," said Hidemi Takasu, managing director of R&D at Rohm, on the sidelines of the CEATEC technology trade show near Tokyo.

The exodus from Japanese cars has in turn helped other foreign brands. Among premium brands, Volkswagen's Audi boosted sales by 20 percent in September, BMW by 55 percent and Daimler's Mercedes-Benz by 10 percent.

as what i expected, japanese side will keep telling that china will be hurt. however, this show they are worng! chinese people should keep boycotting japanese goods. in fact, japan is not the only country which has technologies. this is good chance for US, canada and european companies and economies to recover. by eliminating japanese business out of china., it is good for trade balance between china and europe also

This is just only the beginning. Not only Japan but some Americans, Indians, VN and Pinoy members here were trying to convince us that China is the one hurting itself with the embargo. These people are so anti China that they are living in a delusional world. Not only will Japan lose China as their most important market, some people seem to forget plenty Taiwanese and overseas Chinese could do the same. Just look at the worldwide protests in USA and EU when Japan wanted to purchase the islands. I don't have to tell you they probably will support their motherland in the embargo and ain't gonna buy Japanese products. Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW can easily replace high/mid end Japanese cars. Then there are domestic brands for low/mid end customers. You want LCD screens? Look at Samsung and LG. For smartphones we have Samung, Apple, Huawei, ZTE, HTC and Nokia. Computer (and components)? We have Asus, Dell, Apple, Lenovo, MSI and plenty more brands.
Taiwan, South Korea, China and Germany have companies that can easily replace Japanese ones. So far tens of thousands of tickets to Japan have been cancelled, another blow for them and this effect will last quite some time. The only industry where Japan really dominates is the camera/lenses business. Lets wait for Q4 and next year figures to see how Japan's economy is doing and we shall see how many of these people who kept saying that China needs Japan more are left. Just make sure to post reliable articles how China's economy is suffering from the embargo.

What about the Tens of Thousands of Chinese Workers who will be laid off soon in the event of Closure of Factories?

What about the Tens of Thousands of Chinese Workers who will be laid off soon in the event of Closure of Factories?

since the market demand has not changed ,one factory closed while others growing, the only thing they have to do is moving from one factory to another.Local enterprises will benefit from this move.
infact ,all the world would benifit except Japan and some Sino-japanese joint venture .
