Japanese-Brazilians go 'home' to tap economic boom

.
exactly. Japanese firms are too big to fall, but the strength is also with the size.
That's what they said about Elpida. Sharp would have gone bankrupt if it wasn't for the Foxconn bail out.

Wherever a Korean Goes, He Opens a Church.
The pastor looking for mass immigration was Japanese. He was actually giving an interview with Korean TV news reporters pleading his town's case.

only a reshuffle of business. Foxconn is gulfing up the supply chain, could make a big do in the next 10 years. Sharp will survive anyway.

Japanese Brazilians are returning to Brazil because Japanese economy is going down while Brazilian economy is booming. Japanese government also launched the "Let's send foreigners back home" campaign, where the government offers to pay money for foreign workers and residents if they promise to never come back in order to open job spots for Japanese. Our fellow poster kawaraj will soon feel the pressure from the Japanese government for him to return home too.

AFP: Japanese-Brazilians go 'home' to tap economic boom

Good news, now that we're going to get rich we're really gonna need qualified workers

Chinese, Russian, and US firms do not bankrupt Japanese corporations.

Korean corporations do.

Can you tell me why South Korea has a negative trade balance with Japan then, while China has a positive trade balance? Seems like Koreans love Japanese goods more than Japanese love Korean goods

To fuel Korea's export machine. What is imported is reexported.

while China has a positive trade balance?
Japan's parts imports from Japanese owned factories in China.

Seems like Koreans love Japanese goods more than Japanese love Korean goods
Except that China runs a massive trade deficit against Korea, which according to you means Chinese consumers are mad for Korean goods.(In reality, it's the parts shipment to China) After all, Samsung Galaxy outsells Apple iPhone 3:1 in China.

In 2011, Chinese trade deficit against Korea was $48 billion.

the Japanese never think of Koreans as a threat. the THREATs are always from China, Russia and ) subtly the US).
Maybe not to the average Japanese civilians due to the popularity of Korean wave in Japan.

do you seriously think your nation is a threat to anyone?
That's what 2CHers and Japanese rightwingers who come all the way to Korean portals(90% of traffic from Japan) tell us. You notice tons of Korea-bashing video clips by Japanese on youtube, but not much China-bashing video clips by Japanese on youtube. Why not? Because Japanese rightwingers don't care about China.

.
I actually learned something interesting from this forum. Thank you kawaraj and korean.

OMG, i sense Titanic Inferior Complex running in your blood, or maybe in the blood of your whole nation.

let me tell you this, the Japanese never treat Koreans as equal.

What Korean is saying makes sense. Korea has been following the Japanese path, but the student is now beating the master. No one else is quite in the same league, not even countries in the West.

As I keep saying, if Japan and Korea join ASEAN, they can easily beat the crap out of China, even without any direct help from the US or India. But if they bring US or India into this, that will make China the winner in the long run.

This decision in East Asia in the next decade or two will probably decide the fate of the world, whether it will remain Pax-west or become Pax-sinica. And a Pax-sinica will mean that Korea will go back to being a Chinese vassal as before, Japan will face a crushing defeat and then become a Chinese vassal and the US and EU will become irrelevant in world affairs. And all of this war will be economic, just like Soviet Union lost because of faulty economics.

What is funny to me is why people don't see this coming. May be because many Asian's, like the rest of the clueless in the world, are also sold into the idea of the superiority of people of European origin.

.
that make news again, sir. the Japanese never think of Koreans as a threat. the THREATs are always from China, Russia and ) subtly the US). do you seriously think your nation is a threat to anyone?

Threat doesn't essentially translate to military escalations and not especially in east Asia where militaristic attitude has been dormant for the last 60 years or so. Most of the threat perceptions in east Asia are economical, financial and industrial. Japan and Korea never vied each other militarily post WW2 and dismantling of imperial government.

Ever since electronics rage took over both the countries, Korea and Japan compete with each other massively in field of manufacturing, research and innovation.

LOL Koreans are still a dirt poor people. Not even close to Hong Kong and Singapore. A bit better off than Taiwan. A long long way to go before reaching Japan's level.

They make some money by being slaves for a few decades. From post-Korean War until about 2000, South Koreans all worked 70 hour weeks.

Taiwanese make a good reputation in Japan, Koreans are below them.

being slaves for a few decades? if my memory is correct, Korea this nation has been enslaved by China and Japan for the entire history.

though today SKorea can not be called enslaved, only being "Occupied" by Americans.

Korea is not following the Japanese path. They still cannot make half the high tech things that China or Japan can. Let me just give you an example. Korea's success rate in rocketry in all of history is 0% even with imported Russian rockets. Mind you, Russian rockets are so reliable, even NASA uses them. Japan just launched the IKAROS interplanetary space probe. China's is 94% on the Long March rockets dating back to 1969.

Korea cannot create the steppers, etchers and diagnostic machinery (X-ray diffractometers for one) needed for its semiconductor industry. There are only 6 companies in the world that can create steppers and etchers. Applied Materials, Canon, Nikkon, ASML, Ultratech, and Shanghai Microelectronic Equipment Corporation. Is a Korean company in this list? Building machines isn't the hard part. building the machines needed to build the machines is the hard part. A few months of sanctions would bring South Korea to its knees.
