Japan to transfer military shipbuilding technology to Vietnam

I dont think having destroyers is a good strategy against Chinese, building many missile boat and submarines are more effective against huge Chinese fleets.

When the entire Vietnam is covered by Chinese air force, you need lot more than missile boats and submarines.
When your GDP is only 1/50 of your neighbour, your neighbour's fleets are not even in your enemy list.
These destroyers, submarines or missile boats will be more helpful in dealing with other South Eastern Asian navies.

The media says the Japanese will go the extra mile.

Dang, helicopter carrier?
Are you planning to have Amphibious Ready Group or what?
Are you planning to have F35? Nice.
We will send aircraft carriers and destroyers to slap the Malay, what else?
You are already the strongest in the south east asia region with having Aircraft Carrier and escorted by destroyer, and with ARG you will have complete power projection and become the strongest in the indo pacific region after US and CN, and become super power.

Rather than getting new class of destroyer, it's better to keep sticking with the same class of destroyer for the new ship. IMO.

Imagine the clash of two destroyer fleets Vietnam vs. China before the coast of Indonesia!

I believe you don’t want to miss it.

We still have bad feelings against the chinese after the battles of Paracels and Spratlys.
