Japs have been always well ahead in everything...hope our government can follow this too. I wish we could leave out Australia.

The Japanese always have been skeptical about the Malacca straits and their hunger or energy. They see India as a policeman of the region and they can have good business ties because of the Business Ethics followed here. The Japanese were first ignorant of how India can work in an unorganized way but it has now dawned to them that even if we have an irregular way of working, the results have been optimistic and transparent.

Well said buddy. So far US dominated eastern Pacific, northern Indian ocean as well as related seas and will dominate through out his decade. But rise of PLAN and IN will need serious changes in the strategic tie ups of the US as well as the counties of this region specially Japan. I think the natural geopolitical situations will bring these countries close no need of special authorities as we have seen so far.
