Japan Says Will Release Sanction List of Russian Citizens and Companies Soon

.
LOL, we've posted gains for 4 straight months, and went from a -% growth to +% growth , Japan has the most posted job growth since the 1990s, and corporate taxes are reducing. We are actually, despite conservative estimation from the BOJ, in a state of contented growth. I'm even seriously considering going back to Japan after i finish my Ph.D. here in the 'states.

Oh the naysayers doth abrade me. Begone all ye abraders , naysayers, vexers and nettlers.

This is not even your fight,Why is Japan getting drawn into this is beyond me,why not use this as a opportunity & Settle Territorial Disputes with the Russians

. .
Russia will not give the Kuril Islands to Japan.

What i am trying to say is that you a are getting into a Futile fight with one of the biggest Military powers in the region,Russians are quite squeezed right now perhaps by offering them a better economic package you can get a better deal in the Island swamping thing

. .
A geostrategic mistake if done. That's not Japan's fight; it is a European matter; why not let Europeans solve the issue? What benefits does the Japanese government hope to achieve with this sanctions? Can anyone name any?

Economic?
Strategic (Security)?
Political?

I seriously think that the Abe government is being used far too easily and quickly by Washington/NATO.

If sanctions are placed, what the Japanese think the Russian will feel about? And Russia is almost half as big as Japan economically, hence, no pushover.

Sanctions are not tools that you use liberally, especially if it does not directly relate to you. They may do harm to the sanction-bearer as much as the sanction-receiver. The US made a cheap use of them and their effectiveness is waning everyday.

With this move, Japan may kiss the Kurils goodbye forever and, strategically, that's a good move for China, so, 加油 Japan :)

And in the meantime, expect the talks on natural gas and crude to stall badly, which will further push Russia's resources into China's capable and giant economy at a more affordable prices. With Russia, China will achieve two basic conditions for energy security: availability and affordability.

. . .
What is the connection between Japan, Russia and Crimea?

Oh, it's US.

I wonder if Japan can make their own decision for not always following US?

If US and some European countries don't want to invest in Russia, so what?

Japan get all the profit!

The sanction list is only on select personnel. Japan is not cutting off all trade with Russia.

I still don't understand this country. How many small countries succeed in using the US to develop and become powerful, but Japan with its 120million people is instead used and execute every orders it receive even those hurting himself.

That may not matter. What is important is the symbolic intent. The Russians will not take it lightly and Russia is no Sudan. Does your government honestly think they can mess with Russia and get away with that?

This move is a strategic blunder, at the lightest, and I do not see why Japan does even bother to place sanctions on Russia for a matter that has nothing to do with Japan?

That's what happens when you have no independent foreign policy and is a mere colony of the West.

Japan is just a lab rat in the geopolitical game played by the Yankee fascists.

This is why Japan does NOT matter in world stage (diplomatically speaking). Once again the country is just following the orders of her overlord which is putting US importance above her own. It has no independent foreign policy despite being the 3rd worlds largest economy, providing financial aid to countries, holding a large chunk of US debt, having a strong Naval force, being an advanced developed country etc etc. Japan may have started getting military stronger, selling weapons to other countries. UK, France and Germany have more influence than Japan does period. I don't have a problem with this latest blunder coming from Abe. The more mistake USA/EU/Japan make against Russia the closer we get so keep going with the sanctions and Ukraine crisis.

This is why I have no respect for Japan or Japanese people.
It's impossible to respect a country that has no independent foreign policy and is used as a pawn by other powers.
