I like the rivalries between the great powers. the more they compete for influence in the asia pacific, the more the smaller nations benefit. Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar are the least developed countries within asean. we have a lot to catch up.

This is not rivalry, Japan is doing this out of magnanimity.

Last time I posted here to ask Japan for a University. And just months later. News here said that Japanese diplomat said Japan will help Thailand on Research and higher education. Impressive Japan. Go go. Thai - Japan relation.
