Japan opens doors to skilled foreign workers under new visa system Not to Bangladeshi workers

If ignorance and insecurity is what lead to racism/hate, than India is the most racist nation out there
And it is in accordance with the reports by neutral surveys and experts. India adds another layer called hindutva that divides the people into castes and categorise human race into superior and inferior; A Brahman is superior regardless of his or her character while a dalit or a shudra is inferior and there is no way to change it.
And all non-Hindus are inferior and essential foreign agents and must be either assimilated into the hindu culture or must be removed (killed or expelled). Their hate is just on the next level and intrinsic.

Sounds like they justifies their hatred with religion. Sad.

but they are the most racist nation on the planet (at the same time worshiping whites and Nazis, to feel white?)

for many of them just touching other indians (esp. non-hindu and dalit) makes them unclean
Sounds like they justifies their hatred with religion. Sad.
the religious family in this film is racist to begin with but relent in the end
posted this video to illustrate a very mild form (by indian standards) of religious bigotry

Japan opens doors to skilled foreign workers under new visa system
Not to Bangladeshi workers

Japan on Monday opened its doors to workers of nine Asian countries under a new visa system.

Bangladesh would not get the opportunity.

In December, Tokyo took the decision to allow Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to send their skilled workers to Japan.

Japanese daily The Mainichi reported on Monday that Japan introduced the new visa system to bring in more foreign workers in a major shift in policy.

Traditionally, its strict immigration rules did not permit expatriates to work in Japan.
As hundreds of thousands of foreigners are expected to take up blue-collar and other types of jobs, a new immigration agency was established on Monday to oversee visa inspections and support the settlement process for such people, reported The Mainichi.

Foreigners with certain Japanese language and job skills can now apply for resident status called Specified Skilled Worker No. 1, which grants working rights in 14 sectors, such as construction, farming and nursing care, for up to a total of five years, says the report.

Proficient laborers in two sectors -- construction and shipbuilding -- can further extend their stay by earning the Specified Skilled Worker No. 2 status. It would allow the holders to bring in family members with no limit on the number of times they would be entitled to renew their visa.

The Japanese government expects up to 345,150 foreigners to acquire the No. 1 type visa over the next five years, with the largest number of 60,000 workers expected to be in the nursing care business, it says.

The first delivery of the visa could possibly be seen from mid-April to applicants who are already in Japan and seek to change their status, according to a senior Justice Ministry official, says the report.

The introduction of the system, based on the revised immigration control law enacted in December, represents a major change for Japan, which had limited the issuance of working visas to people with professional knowledge and high skills, such as doctors, lawyers and teachers.

Rise and fall of Japan is a classical strategic management case study. Japan rose to top position by merely focusing on product development. They thought that if their product is cheap and of high quality, it will attract the people most. What they failed to understood that all those traits they build in their products and management system like JIT they evolved can easily be copied by other manufacturers and they will loose competitive edge. The other philosophy they followed was closed economy. They thought that they will produce in Japan and sell it to whole world. They can source all factor of production like manpower, capital, know how etc locally which is 180* opposite to the concept of globalization which focuses on sourcing the factor of production from most suitable location globally. After initial rapid rise of Japan, their economy and their MNCs Started Shrinking rapidly because of wrong philosophy they followed. Now they are realizing that you can not sustain with closed economy. You will have to open it to source various factors of Production to remain relevant. Therefore Japan is trying to open up but yet they are not opening with whole hearted determination.

Ignorance + insecurity lead to the racism/hate. These are the two key ingredients. All of the racist in the west spread false propaganda against immigrants & Islam which is based on their ignorance and insecurity. They exaggerate statistics and distort the facts and even fabricate nonsense against the target group(s). Japanese are on the whole humble people and most of the Japanese who travel abroad are more open to foreigners and foreign cultures while the ones who have never stepped out of their country are ignorant and more insecure as well.

The west is lost cause. They were there just to fulfill the prophet's (PBUH) prophecies and they were doing just as prophesized, so I won't be too vigilant about them. That's what they're going to do anyway. Their Christians converting to neo-paganism also doesn't looks too weird for me either.

While most of the Japanese are humble (but not really though. The right wingers are nasty bunch also there are weirdos like the Happy Science cult and Doomsday cult), vast majority of them aren't really interested in matters that doesn't concern their life, unless you introduced them into. Yes I agree overseas Japanese are much more clever than the locals.

Beijingwalker is a propagandists.

Divide and conque. He wants to split Japan and other countries like how he wants to split Japan and the US. That would make it easier for China to control.

Don't trust him.

Japanese policy with foreign workers is not so simple. But consider a much easier test about racism. Any survey asking about which countries Japan likes , China is way at the bottom. South Korea is also far down. Countries that are surveyed to be liked be Japan are the European countries, the US, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, and so on. If Japan was racists as like how Beijingwalker lies about, then South Korea and China should be liked more than European countries, the US, and Australia. But no, Japan also likes Taiwan, ASEAN countries, and even India more than China.

East Asians don't like each other, that's a known fact, I don't have to lie about it, I was also relaying a report on Japanese new foreign worker policy, is this new policy a lie as you suggested? That law was made by your government, I don't think you are a lawmaker in your country , so what you say matters nothing. I wonder why Japan won't open up its job market to South Asians, they have a massive young workforce there.

Japan only wants foreign workers that more or less look like them, Japanese and Koreans are the most racist countries in the world.
is china any different ??

i won't be defensive. it is your country. it is your rules. keep in mind immigration has screwed up a lot of societies.
after 2nd world war you have set a great example. you make great products for rest of the world.

as a society you do not prefer foreigners
Do any countries do? China is at least not as xenophobic as Japanese and Koreans, those two are single nation states with no or very little interaction with the outside world throughout their histories.
