Does Japan base an E-767 out of their Djibouti base, or does it rely solely on its E-2Cs for AEW&C there?

The E-767 is one of my favorite AWACS aircraft

Ha ha ha i know right, just in case those pesky pirates try anything funny!

Right now the squadrons stationed there are mostly E-2Cs.

Soon there will be P1s sent, i believe.

Update:

The JMSDF has deployed another Destroyer Escort Force to Djibout, two destroyers of the JMSDF , both of which are Akizuki Class, have been sent to support Japanese Fleet Activity in the Gulf of Aden.

@Gabriel92 --- replenishment ship of the French Navy was escorted by the Japanese Destroyers en route to Djibouti.

Me too! I'd love to see Japanese and Nordic Battle Group cooperation. I think Norway can teach Japan much on Arctic Interdiction Techniques, you guys are extremely skilled in arctic patrol. I've read the noble stories of Norwegian Air Force interdicting Russian Migs , definitely don't mess with the Norwegians and the Swedes....!
