What's new

Japan launches a new Guided Missile Destroyer, the JS Fuyuzuki

.
Watch out, America!

The Imperial Navy is coming.

. . . .
to assist you and augment your forces against China.

There are 4 ships in this class (+2 more planned). Not to mention we are designing another new destroyer class that is slightly smaller than this, and is going to be a dedicated submarine hunter + with ABM, and with the same firepower against surface combatants. The Japanese version of the Zumwalt Class , albeit, with more firepower. :)

With her sister ships, the JS Akizuki, JS Teruzuki, JS Suzutsuki and the JS Fuyuzuki

I love this beautiful ship!

I was completing @longyi sentence to provide it with a context.

Akizuki class, 6,800 tons. IF the new ship is in fact SMALLER than even this, how can it be close to Zumwalt, unless you mean Zumwalt is the one with more fire power, but then the wording is confusing.

Either way, if it's a sub hunter it is not the Zumwalt, the Zumwalt is not a sub hunter.

He he , thank you for doing so. Btw, I would love to one day see JS Fuyuzuki training with Indian Navy's Rajput Class Destroyers. ;)
you mean Kolkata, Rajput, that's a blast from the past.

pics or it shall hasn't come to pass.

kidding..pics would be lovely and the config too. thank you @nihojin sama.

Rajput class is old and would be retired in a decade. India's newest Destroyer is Kolkata class, the first of which was inducted last month. After that most potent one is Delhi class and Rajput class is third tier destroyer in Indian Navy.

Kolkata Class is , indeed, very beautiful. I personally find the Rajput Class Destroyer very beautiful. I hope that the IN doesn't retire her completely, she should be kept for core maritime border defense. Despite her age, that ship (Rajput Class) carries a punch that many navies in South Asia and Southeast Asia (even Northeast Asia) would dare not intimidate.

;)

Behold, the Mighty Rajput Class...

How much did it cost? I estimate 900 to 1000 millions.

$ 1 Billion per ship. ;)

The Rajput reminds me of the Imperial Navy's own Battleship Yamato and Musashi... ;)

WAY TO GO JAPAN...These destroyers look awesome/quite sophisticated....keep it up. Russia and China better watch out....the mighty imperial Navy is rising again.:tup:

1billion per ship???:o: thats too expensive for a ship of this class. Japan really needs to look into its shipbuilding construction costs.:cheesy:

I can't reveal to you of the specifics of our new destroyer class, but it will retain some basic designs of the Akizuki Class, it will be slightly smaller in size meaning, around 5000 tonnes. It has a similar TSCEI (total ship computing environmental infrastructure) as the Zumwalt. It is going to be designed to be a ABM (anti ballistic missile deterrant), but unlike the Zumwalt Class, it will carry one of the most advanced ASROC platforms that will make it a semi-dedicated submarine killer, as well as carry the same surface fire power as the Akizuki. This new class will also have a considerable speed, it will be , in American slang, "hellova lot faster" than the Akizuki.

He he he. ^^,

Ya, I know, but you know with anything "MADE IN JAPAN", its always going to have a big price tag.
