Japan, China in spat over nuclear arsenal

oh please. pre-1945 and post-1945 history are way different ball games. fact is, post 1945 china did things that japan has never done and never will do:

defeat the US in a war. not once but twice.

and we did it without resorting to japanese brutality.

besides, if japan isn't scared of our nukes, or in fact not scared of anyone, STOP COMPLAINING. since you obviously aren't scared, don't talk when our subs and ships are near your waters. don't talk about our nukes. just nod your head when the americans talk. you aren't scared right?

hey at least japan aint sending up planes to clip a wing or sending out fishing boats like chinese fisherman when Uncle sam some close to hunan island

.
then why complain? since 大日本帝国 is so awesome and powerful, and it was never defeated by the US, the US occupation is just the whites paying tribute to the great emperor, WW2 was a hoax, japan is invincible, not afraid of anything, etc etc.

then WHY COMPLAIN?

yes but on the flip side the us can go wherever they want in japan.

what like beat a bunch of helpless monks?

beat the Americans but get a beat down by the vietnamese?

I gueese vietnamese are the biggest dog ever, not only did they spank uncle sam they also spank uncle wang.

technically china has never been at war with the us, there were proxy wars though(korea, vietnam).also vietnam was not a loss, pla declared that objectives(occupation were never the aim) where met and left, though there were heavy losses but then again there were heavy losses in korea too take it how you will but i do not believe any other country runs bases in china to "defend" china

.
a ballistic missile is only the first step. even if japan gets its act together, actually manufacturing the missile takes months, and to build a survivable nuclear force takes years to decades. japan also has no experience with long range land attack cruise missiles. in a real war, before they can even decide to assemble a nuclear weapon tokyo would already be occupied.

Not by China it wouldn't.

korea wasn't a proxy war. north korea had long lost before we entered the war. they didn't do anything except get their ***** kicked by the whities.

it was just an undeclared war, since technically it was just a "volunteer army" and "volunteer air force" that fought against the US.

vietnam was a proxy but the air war, the important part, was 90% us. we supplied the planes, staffed the AA guns, SAMs, and radar stations, trained their pilots/radar operators, and even directly controlled vietnamese pilots.

.
Bottom line is if china wants to be the asian leader rather than just most powerful asian nation it needs good relations with japan and india. This is a fact whether u like it or not.:coffee:

Man I just told some of my Vietnamese friends this and they wanted to ask you where all the hard core chinese people from?

Where are you reading your history from? Does your book said China put the first man on the moon too?

Vietnamese got most of their stuff from the soviets, all the advance stuff came from the soviets. China provided chopsticks and rice and if the Vietnamese were lucky enough they might get some soya sauce with that.

Vietnamese rather be enslaved to the Americans than have Chinese in their vietnam.

Japan, france, US all got a beat down by the "poor peasant" vietnamese in the 20th century

and China had a major beat down in Vietnam in 1980

seems we have different definitions of proxy war, it wasnt on chinese soil, no war was officially declared, us was fighting under UN, thats a proxy war to me though it threaten to break out to full out war.

yeah, you're right, WW2 is hoax, japan doesn't grovel to the US and plead with it to move its base, all the americans in japan are there to bow down to your great emperor.

and why should we care about the opinions of filipinos and vietnamese? think everyone loves japan? no, they love japanese AV.

Don't be so harsh with the young man. I mention earlier in a subtle way that "overseas Japanese are not the same as Nihonjin" as a gentle way to say that we must understand the inner thoughts and feelings of others.

We need to understand that overseas Japanese have been 'disconnected' with their motherland. Take for example the large overseas Japanese population in Brasil. Many of them have returned to Japan, only to find they cannot fit in even after years of adjustment --- and not only that, but the local Japanese have not open up to them and see them as foreigners. Now compare that to overseas Chinese who can go to ANY place where there are Chinese and instantly or within a few months are welcomed and merged with the local population. Now why is that?!

Trust me when I say this: 99.9% of Japanese and 99.9% of Chinese are compatible. That is to say, beyond slight superficial things, it is hard to differentiate one from the other --- the single major barrier is communication (spoken language). Beyond that, is the problem of a FEW troublesome folks in government. In other words, punish ONLY the guilty. Give the others a stern warning if you must, but don't punish the innocent.

We must not be hard-headed stupid, rather understand the feelings of the people. :smitten:

i've seen translations from japanese forums, it's split 50/50 between the radicals like this guy and the realists. a significant number of japanese still think this is WW2 and never realize their mistakes. that'd be fatal in the next war.

again it doesn't matter what the people-people transactions are, there is no plausible case where japan is not an enemy in a future war. currently they have their heads shoved so far up uncle sam's * that trying to pull it out would break their necks.
