Its all about interest and power politics. Geo doesn’t see it self as a media house focused on reporting, but as a king maker and wants to be considered as a new pillar of Pakistani establishment. Taking power from old establishment involves beating down your opponent- mainly Armed forces. Reason IK is hated, simple as he has allied himself with Army on all issues and tried to find a pragmatic balance which you like to call as being puppet or selected etc, and focus his guns on political opponents such as Sharif family and Zardari.
They had history of blackmailing the governments , they earned billions from noora thug group in disguise of govt advertisements, they still milking money from PDM thugs , because Ik limited the spendings on advertisements
That whole aligning himself with the army isn’t going so well though, huh? The army should be apolitical, aligning yourself with them or against them shouldn’t even be a thing.
If that’s the case then why not contest their seats and why build an alliance with them in the first place? Whose such advice was IK willing to take at the time?
Not like that , they were supporting him when they thought he can never become powerful personality in Pakistani politics. Since 2013 elections, Geo is firecely anti- Imran khan. That's almost a decade now. Lets not kid ourselves, we all know the truth. Ary backs Imran Khan, no one denies that. Kheir its not Geo and Dawn but some other channels are well like channel 24.
So you should be misaligned with your armed forces? Why cant we take it in a way that IK and PTI are in sync with certain core foreign policy issues. Army doesn’t really care what happens in local politics anyway.

Exactly !!!that time Imran Khan used to criticse Musharaf regime because of his support to US and drones strikes inside Pakistan. Hence, IK was given little space in Geo that time. As soon as, they saw Imran Khan getting preferable choice after Musharaf departure, red alarms within Jang network sat in. Rest is quite evident.

Let me simplify it for you, in case comprehension is an issue. If PMLQ are scum, why get into bed with them before the election? IK loves to grandstand, but when it comes down to it, he behaves exactly as any other politician.
