James Bond' shoot stalled in India

MI4 and DK3 have nothing to do with India. They are just location shoots for the villians.
MI4 is mostly in Russia/Dubai. DK3 is in Gotham (NYC). Catwoman and Bane are not running around India in DK3.
no body said it revolves around india....look at the fortress picture below..

Mehrangahr Fort. It’s so big it has SEVERAL palaces within its walls. That looks exactly like the ancient fortress headquarters of an ancient secret society.

This is truly a wonderful fort.

It still is the property of The erstwhile ruler of Jodhpur and is maintained very well.

Thanks a ton brother!Would you mind telling us the rest of the script as well?It would save us the money to go and watch a movie that you know from head to toe already!

Lol at Third Eye comment.

Btw I hope this scene happens in India, James Bond is one of the most seen movies in the World, and as a India, if they shoot a scene in India, I would definetely go cinema to watch this movie and sure many million Indians would do. We love our rail network, its the biggest in the world. :smitten:

why they hav decided to go to a country like india which hav too bad infastructure in the 1st place?

anyways, London has become a very dangerous place after those riots. I really think you should bid for the next year Olympics as there is a security issue in London nowadays!

If it was about infastructure they would have shoot it anywhere in the west. India has a cultural/exotic vibe..

Besides, James Bond movies shot in India isn't anything new...

Also James Bond movies have been shot pretty much everywhere.. Including Pakistan..

Its really not about infrastructure. It has a lot more to do with the security headaches associated with making a Bond movie in India.

Indian Railways gives James Bond licence to thrill

NEW DELHI: The world's most famous secret agent, James Bond (with actor Daniel Craig) will have to make some changes in his action plan in India, when he jumps from a speeding motorbike onto the roof top of a moving train and while on the run, will jump from one moving to train top to another. But the earlier plan to show both the moving train tops crowded with travellers, will have to be done away with, to comply with conditions put out by the railway ministry.

"One of the conditions for allowing the shoot is that they cannot show India or Indian Railways in bad light and the assurances will have to be given to us in writing. The film will be viewed across the world where it will seem as if all trains here have people travelling on roof tops, which is not true. Also, travelling on the roof of a train is prohibited by law and that cannot be encouraged," railway minister Dinesh Trivedi said, while confirming that the shoot will happen in Goa and in January next year.

While there are other conditions that the filmmakers have to comply to, and are likely to abide by like, keeping the "safety issue" as priority and causing "least inconvenience to passengers," Trivedi has struck a deal for allowing the railways to be used for the Bond film, tentatively titled " Bond 23". He has asked James Bond to be brand ambassador for Indian Railways, for which Trivedi also came up with punch line for a two-minute spot, where 007 will have to say something on the lines of "Indian Railways is stronger than James Bond."

Trivedi, who replied to an email that he recieved from Indian representatives of the Hollywood producers of the Bond film, after which he met them last Monday at his railway ministry office. They had asked for Sabarmati in Gujarat or Goa for a site to shoot in, since the film has to show Bond jumping into a sea or a big water body from the train top. Trivedi assured "all possible help from the railways" for the shoot as long as conditions he has mentioned were met with.

"Octopussy" was the only other Bond film which had an Indian connection, before this, when part of the film was shot in the Uadipur Lake Palace Hotel and in the streets of the city, with Roger Moore starring as the MI6 agent, in the film that was released in 1983.

This deserves a new thread buddy .

india is indeed a dangerous places..imho i reckon that the james bond crew received some intel that india was planning a moscow cinema siege like inside job so that it can blame Pakistan and Hafiz Saeed for it.....a publicity stunt it performs every now and then to silence the voice of Pakistanis living in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Its highly probable after thousands of mass graves were found in Jammu and Kashmir last week with mainstream zionist media in collaboration with indian lobby silent over it along with the shameless double faced western democracies.

Coming from a Pakistani. Oh, the irony.

I've been to India 4 times and it's pretty safe. Your post is off-topic.

James Bond set to return to India | Pakistan | News | Newspaper | Daily | English | Online

Published: September 03, 2011

MUMBAI (AFP) - James Bond is set to return to India for the first time in nearly 30 years, after the government granted filming permission for the latest instalment of the fictional superspy’s adventures.

The last time a Bond film was on location in India was for the 1983 hit “Octopussy”, with Roger Moore in the lead role. It was shot in the northern states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

An official at the films division of India’s information and broadcasting ministry told AFP permission to film the movie was granted on August 25.

And India’s railways ministry confirmed the makers of the as-yet untitled movie, currently known as “Bond 23”, had applied to shoot in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and the resort state of Goa.

Shooting is planned for February and March next year, said Chandralekha Mukherjee, railway executive director of publicity, rejecting reports that the ministry had denied permission to film a sequence on the network.

“There’s no dispute. The only issue is that we can’t obviously stop trains and inconvenience passengers,” she said.

“The only issue now is to decide what are going to be the points where the shooting will happen. We’re looking into it.” “Bond 23”, to be directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes, is due for release in November 2012

come to pakistan

its a little hard with the present situation mate.:)

A little harder with the present situation of Pakistan Railways, trains in Pakistan are tooooooooo slow. If you start walking, you will reach the destination before the train arrives, or a newly born baby will become 9 hours old when the train comes from its due time. In fact it is made compulsory from the officials to say on the railway station and do some tapasya. One solution, you can make the movie in slow motion, then, when you watch it, press the fast button.

If you want to make a movie 'James Bond in trouble' you are very warm welcome to Pakistan.

The purpose of spying is to blend in but James bond sticks out like a sore pimple in any population he goes to spy I mean literally you can go to a hotel , and see 1000 folks and there ... you will see James bond with his martini and his white suit with the bow tie
Pretending to blend in , while singing the bhajan and pretending to be an Indian
