Jamaat registration cancelled

another bad hairy day for al zakir , m sain , luffy 500 haha  ... sukh naire pagla

You are giving too much credit to Awami League kagaroo court ruling. And for Awami League, people of Bangladesh already have spoken. All these Awami Kangaroo dance to keep people like you in line in face of dismal future waiting for Awami League.

.
Awami League trapped itself in quick sand and to cover up it is spawning one crime after another.

First: Awami League suffered with overwhelming and resounding rejection by people.

Then to cover it up, Awami PM son Sajeeb Wazed Joy exposed conspiracy Awami League hatching to rig the national election. Joy announced he has information that Awami League will win election. Exposing plan to rig election was ultimate disaster for Awami League because if PM son Joy has information before election that Awami League will win then Awami claim of fair election is all but pack of lie.

Then to cover up Joy's admission and consequences Awami League presented Bangladeshis with point black shooting and murder by its own terrorist.

Then to cover up Awami League terrorism captured in CC tv, Awami League unleashed terror of rapid awami battalion terror and two more killed in span of 2 days. All in the month of Ramadan.

If one follow the trail of events Awami League managed to dig even deeper hole for itself by exposing its own conspiracy to rig election and then following with triple terror acts.

So cover up all these Awami criminal acts, Awami League trained its kangaroo court barrel on Jammat-e-Islami. Would Awami deception work? Other than Awami echo chamber, even Awami League voters are covering their face.

Intersteing...i think this was a bad idea, kicking Jammatis out of the picture. I think over the past years i have seen AL cause more problems then the Jammatis. Result from this could be either good or bad for Bangladesh.

Question to my Bangladeshi friends here, when is your next election?

Next December.

It will prevent the party from contesting the forthcoming parliament election due end of this year or early next.

The bench of justices M Moazzam Husain, M Enayetur Rahim, and Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque announced the verdict on Thursday.

“By majority, rule is made absolute and registration given to Jamaat by the Election Commission is declared illegal and void,” Justice Husain said.

The verdict comes at a time when the demand for outlawing the party, blamed for war crimes during the Liberation War, is mounting.

The full verdict will be published later.

Hearing on the petition ended on Jun 12 and the bench kept the verdict pending.

On Jan 27, 2009, the High Court issued a ruling after 25 people, including Bangladesh Tariqat Federation’s Secretary General Syed Rezaul Haque Chandpuri, Jaker Party’s Secretary General Munshi Abdul Latif and Sammilita Islami Jote’s President Maulana Ziaul Hasan, filed a joint petition.

It had asked the EC to explain as to why the party’s registration should not be declared illegal. The court’s ruling specifically referred to sections 90 B(1) and B(2), and 90(C) of the Representation of the People Order (RPO).

Jamaat’s chief Motiur Rahman Nizami, Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed and the Election Commission Secretary were given six weeks time to reply, but they did not, according to plaintiff lawyer Tania Ameer.

On the day the hearing ended, Tania Ameer said Jamaat’s charter was in conflict with the Constitution. “It was not eligible for registration.”

Defence lawyer Abdur Razzaq, also a Jamaat Assistant Secretary General, however claimed no clause of his party was in ‘conflict’ with the Constitution.

Ameer had earlier said the defendants were yet to reply to the 2009 ruling.

During the hearing of the petition, Khandaker Mahbub Hossain and Barrister Abdur Razzaq had filed for power of attorney on behalf of the Jamaat-e-Islami, she said.

The petition for cancelling Jamaat's registration was argued on four points.

The first argument is that the Jamaat in principle does not recognise people as the source of all powers and also the undisputed power of the people’s representatives to make laws.

Secondly, the RPO prohibits registration of communal parties, and ‘it is clear from the acts and beliefs of the Jamaat that it is a communal party’.

Thirdly, a registered political party cannot in any way discriminate on grounds of religion or gender. But the Jammat's charter does not allow any woman or non-Muslim to hold its top post.

And fourthly, the Jamaat is a unit of a foreign organisation born in India with units all over the world.

There is no point is banning a party....In democracy even devil should also get a chance....If people wont like it then they will not vote for it...By banning the party, simply BD gov is making it as a martyr in front of the people...

.
This registration cancellation will not stop jamat politics. they can participate as independent candidate in the election or can participate with BNP which they would do in the next election anyway .

.
Jamat should allowed to participate in election .... People already start to dislike this evil and voting percent is a proof.

Banning them is just like giving honor to these people of terrorist ideology.

BNP silent on Jamaat setback

BNP silent on Jamaat setback - bdnews24.com

The BNP is not giving a reaction, for now, to the verdict that revoked registration of its key partner Jamaat-e-Islami with the Election Commission.

The High Court on Thursday ruled that Jamaat’s charter contradicts Bangladesh’s Constitution.

In response, the Jamaat has announced lockdown and demonstrations to protest the verdict.

Senior BNP leaders, however, decided to stay mum on the matter.

bdnews24.com tried to reach seven of the party’s Standing Committee members on Thursday but none of them agreed to speak on the issue.

Rafiqul Islam Mia would only say that “the issue is sub-judice” while Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in his ‘personal opinion’ said the only EC could “decide such matter, not the court”.

BNP’s acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also quiet when approached.

Journalists had no comment from the BNP spokersperson on the issue as he skipped an iftar at a city restaurant on Thursday.

Opposition chief Khaleda Zia is away in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah.

The BNP leaders said comments will be available only after discussion with her.

A central leader of the party, seeking anonymity, told bdnews24.com: “The party high command has advised us not to make any comment now.”

The Jamaat, which opposed Bangladesh's independence and collaborated with the Pakistani military, forged alliance with the BNP after the Awami League formed government in 1996.

Before that, the Jamaat helped the BNP, which was founded by Liberation War Sector Commander Ziaur Rahman, to form government in 1991 when it had 18 seats in Parliament.

But later the party joined forces with the Awami League and waged a movement against the BNP for a polls-time non-party caretaker government.

The Jamaat won only three constituencies in 1996 after contesting the elections independently and in the following balloting held in 2001 it secured 17 seats after forging an alliance with the BNP.

The party also joined the government with the BNP and secured two Cabinet posts for its top leaders Motiur Rahman Nizami and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed, both accused of war crimes perpetrated during the 1971 Liberation War.

The International Crimes Tribunal awarded death penalty to Mujaheed and is trying Nizami.

The Jamaaat contested the 2008 parliamentary polls with BNP but fared poorly, taking only two seats.

The party went for a series of political programmes following the start of the war crimes trials but its ally BNP maintained a distance from them saying they were Jamaat’s ‘own’ programmes.

The BNP is following the same strategy following the latest High Court verdict.

Its leader Rafiqul Islam Mia told bdnews24.com: “An appeal has been filed against the High Court verdict. So it’s a sub judice matter. Making any comment at this stage will not be fair.”

However, the BNP has been questioning the standard of the trials at the International Crimes Tribunal.

majority of Bangladeshi are looking for solution, look at last two elections, one election hugely won by BNP and when people disappointed next election hugely won by AL and now again all city corporation elections won by BNP. it seems majority of bangladeshi does not support any particular party, if some how a party emerge, you will see how game changes and what future comes to these parties.

next election hugely won by AL
Correction, AL didn't win the election. It was IND and the Empire that illegally won it for AL through FUA, MUA & so-called Sickularists.(((Excerpt from my 4 yrs old post, 300 BA officers were engaged individual charge for each constituency after proper vetting. One relative of the informer was off from this duty. Breg. Mamun controlled those officers. The scheme was to target 100 confirm BNP seats. These seats had to be given to BAL by any means. In Dhaka division out of 94 seats no seat would be given to BNP jote. It was confirmed to the informer 3 days before election. The chosen 100 seats have taken under special care. 20 big centers were picked from each seat and their presiding officers were given selectively. These 20 presiding officers were either hindu/ confirm BAL. These presiding officers were specially briefed. Simultaeniously Greater Noakhali district were kept out of this plan to show the neutrality of MUA as his brother and relative were candidate. Khaleda Zia’s and some other seats were also kept undisturbed. Specially north Bengal, Dhaka Division, Khulna Division were targeted. For the purpose all center has a new room for presiding officers which was never before. For these 20 each center, under special care 1000 ballot were marked in boat and were put in 1/2 ballot box earlier and handover to the designated presiding officers. They kept it in his room.

During polling when a box was filled by vote it was taken to Presiding Officer's room where the "Pre filled box' were kept.’Community Police" were used for carrying this special ballot box.
While vote was counted all box were opened and amalgamated real vote and fake vote altogether. After the counting result were announced in center wise. People or the loser party could not make cry.

Average 20000 votes were given in a constituency for BAL beyond the original casting. Only the thing: concern presiding officers were asked to slow the turn out. those who could not control, that's why some centers' casting were 95%- 104% (including canceled vote). The returning officers were posted earlier 98% from BAL supporter. They cooperate the process 100%. This way people/ observer saw: "a free fair, vote, jubilant vote high casting is the cause of BAL wining")))

BRO, Jamaati never caused 1/100th of problem of AWAMY's magnitude. Prove was that there wasn't even a single 'General Diary' in any of the Precincts of BD against their prominent leaders and punishments were awarded to them on hear says, full of lies, damned concoction, recurrent lies & cocked up statistics etc.

Ya the good old fiction teller.. STRIKES AGAIN

No, morning's Go-Mutro didn't generate enough of vitamin in the drunk head of dalals.

There should be a limit for conspiracy theory!! Now after the propaganda like 2500 hefazot activist were killed on May 5 night we may hear angels also came to make BAL win. This is a cyclic process in our country that no party will held power for 2 consecutive terms. Specially this is because people has no other alternatives and after each 5 year seeing the corruption, looting and plundering of the part which is in power, they think may be the other one will be better next time. After massive corruption by Tareque Zia and Co. at Hawa Bhaban it became certain that BNP was going loose!!! If anyone say otherwise either they have no knowledge about it or they are hard core liar and saying it only to support certain political parties.

If really there would be a massive corruption and BNP would have known it they would for sure brought it to the surface. But nothing like that happened mainly because there is no truth in it.

This is unfortunate that in our country no politicians and political parties has the matured mentality to accept defeat. They only knows how to say no, fraud, illegal etc.

.
JeI will bounce back through legal process. Not sure if the Tk 200.00 Crore gifted to Hasina included this part or not. But the USA and EU do not want JeI banned. It is a bourgeois party pursuing parliamentary democratic process. The pressure is from India which wants BD to be isolated from the Ummah, especially Pakistan.
ASAD Bhai, I'VE been hearing US,EU don't want JEI's leader's trial but they have already been punished. Have U heard US, EU briefing against it? Now, comes the ban and U are repeating the similar. I think that U haven't got to the bottom of the issue yet.

. .
banning a party means awami s afraid of losing at many fronts in coming elections.

if jamat is so unpopular then why awamis are afraid?

The test would have been if the people of Bangladesh voted out JI party not the politically motivated courts.
