I think even slum dog movie did not deserve to win the Oscar and Allah rakha Rahman is best music director and i don't know why most of his popular song sung by Sukhwinder. Recently i found this song and i love it

Dude why are you bringing the muslim angle into this?? He is an Indian and won an Oscar. Do you think oscar judges have reservation against muslims?

I asked only out of curiosity, as i don't know of any Muslim celebs walking away with an Oscar other than AR. My post is in consistence with forum rules, if you have issues then simply don't reply to my post. Since we are discussing him so i wanted to inquire for the sake of knowledge. And do me a favor don't reply for the sake of posting, when you haven't got anything meaningful to contribute.

Jai Ho was the best one for me

Although loved Vande Mataram the same

Because the movie was up for so many awards "Jai ho" was aswell.

but A R Rehman defiantly has MUCH better songs but, sadly, that is utterly irrelevant in terms of Oscars and "Jai ho"

these songs were so much a part of my childhood- really brings back memories ( i'm not that old but my parents would play these songs in the car a lot!)
