When we call you bhai do you assume and resume that we refer to shared parentage?
Or that we crave to share your bloodlines?

The expression "Bhai" means many things to many people. Conventionally, it means "brother" either by relationship or by affection.
But on the other hand, in street 'argot'; "Bhai" is also used to denote "Goons/Ruffians" who are simply a menace to civil society at large.
Maybe you'd like to check with him what he had in his mind; 'filial relations/feelings' OR ................................
