J-20 enters into service before 2016

.
I am really curious to know which engine is being used in J-20 prototype ??

. .
Hopefully it won't. J-20 needs a lot more upgrades and it should enter service when all of those upgrades are met.

They have already worked on WS-15 decade ago, please don't confuse it with WS-10.

WS-15 and WS-10 are working by two different manufacturers, WS-10 is Taihang and WS-15 is Huashan.

What I was referring to is the J-20's airframe.

It, in its current configuration, does not meet its full stealth potential. Its frontal RCS could be reduced further, and getting rid of sharp edges around the canards would also help.

The current J-20 is already closer to the production aircraft than YF-22 and T-50. So, it won't take another decade for the deployment.

On 2 April 2009, the director of AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China) Lin Zuoming (林左鸣), stated that there were problems with the quality control procedures on the WS-10A production line, meaning the Taihang turbofan was still of unsatisfactory quality. He said that solving these problems would be a key step.[7] The Chinese engines have been lasting 30 hours at a time vs 400 for the Russian originals.[8]

knowing the critical problems of the engine China's is using this to power it's J-20 (5th Gen .)

This is the same old news it has been shown over again and again.

First, this news was 2 years ago, we are in 2011 now, not 2009.

Second, Mr. Lin originally meant some minor problems that it needs to be fixed for the accumulative experience, not some exaggerating failure described by the English source.

Third, WS-10 and WS-15 are made by two different manufacturers, even if WS-10 still exists some serious problems doesn't mean it gonna push back the progression of WS-15.

Still, major improvements still are needed. That will take time. The J-20 hasn't even made its second flight test yet.

what's the rush?

give them time to test and iron out problems before sending it into production. if the official estimates from chinese military is 2017-2020, then let's take that. premature finalization is the worst thing that can happen to a project.

There is no rush at all, J-20 was in development many years ago, the flight test in early of this year was only for political reasons.

You guys don't know how things worked with CCP at all, and J-20 is much more mature than you could imagine.
