Maybe the Muslim community should come out to denounce such crimes. You can't blame Americans for their prejudices about Muslim's. Maybe things will change in the future and the Muslim's will be accepted by ALL Americans.

What i feel is that US should know and i hope they know that military action is not always the answer to stop these terrorist from done their evil deeds, but the best what can be done is to make a stratagy of how they can be cornered so that no one support these terrorist.

Definately respecting each others religion and culture is the most important thing to built confidence in each other, US has its own culture and muslim's have their own, so let is be as it is. And it applies to all the countires and religion. By imposing you own beliefs on other and draging religion in each and every prospect of life is not going to do any good to anyone. In fact, you see Airforcepilot's insult messages, America in fact is no longer family cultures and no valued like they used to have it in old fashioned life . Their divorce rate is too high than worldwide. They seem enjoy to prejudice other races. They need to learn before they speak carefully very carefully!

No where in my post did I insult Muslim's. I think you need to read the post fully. Your postings are way off topic. We are not talking about crime rate or drug use in my country. The post is about why Americans are prejudice against Muslims.

How popular is Obama! Everything the guy says is like some pre scripted motivational speech. I bet he could pick his nose and scratch his bum at the same time and still look classy. Such a huge shift from that retarded cowboy to now. There is a general view in the west that Islam rejects ideas based on western views. Such as treatment of women, non democratic, rejection of science(eg evolution), freedom of speech, intolerance to non-muslims etc.
And im sure people here could counter that statement by expressing valid views which makes them scared of the west.

Some things though Islam and the West are simply not going to agree on. Take **** for example, **** is seen (at least here) as two consenting adults taking part in an act for the purpose of entertainment, nobody is being hurt.
To be honest i cant ever see Islam and the West seeing eye to eye on everything. Tolerance and mutual respect is whats needed and Obama-Rama is exactly what we need right now.

This pretty much sums up everything that I've personally experienced as well. The One thing that i can say with the utmost confidence Freedom of speech and freedom of conscience are two things lacking in almost all the Muslim countries even in Turkey. Take for example the girl beaten up over a tatoo, these kind of things are very normal here. I would say its more to do with culture than religion but culture & religion to some degree go hand in hand.

When the birthplace of Islam is currently being ruled by a complete monarch its hard for other muslim countries to truely and freely express themselves since many of them actually look up to Saudia Arabia for answers. Especially in NWFP people tend to or want to do what ever Saudi's do, not so much in the case of Punjab or Sindh.

The one Major element thats truely lacking is proper education of Islam both in educational institutions as well as religous institutions including mosques. Its very rare and very hard to find mosques with a systematic induction program that teaches you about Islam from all angles. Most of the Mosques themselves in western countries are dominated by South East Asian immigrants who themselves don't know much about the religion and are born right into it but just follow the basics like praying, fasting a little knowledge but very rarely will you find someone who has information about Islam and theology in general on an Academic level especially unlike the Catholic churches.

Lack of information than leads you to the Internet which is great source but also dangerous at the same time especially chat rooms, forums which are full of idiots. Than ofcourse there the zealots, hard line absolutists, unforunately you'll even see them on these boards, particularly, the sons of Asian immigrants - get far too worked up about this or that political agenda and are in danger of overlooking the peaceful, spiritual core of Islam especially in Wester countries.

Now on a little academic level, you can't forget the idea of Hellinization, the blending of Greek philosophical ideas into religion something that was done by both Saint Peters and the early Muslims. The concept of hellenization led to many wonders in the Islamic peninsula from Cairo to Iraq with massive universities, science and research unfortunately Islam dehellinized itself somewhere around the mid late 13th century where people started taking the Absolutist approach rather than reasoning.

Such as treatment of women, non democratic, check out the US Electoral College system and the fact their system only allows for 2 parties, rejection of science(eg evolution), you better have a close look at the US education system where there are huge fights on including creation in schools vs evolution, freedom of speech, want to check some of their laws on this one as well, Australia may be a bit more freer at present, intolerance to non-muslims (nufsaid so far), etc.
And im sure people here could counter that statement by expressing valid views which makes them scared of the west.

No they are just going to pass view that indicate they are just as ignorant of the west as the west is of them.
