What's new

It's official: Al-Qaeda announces Kashmir unit, Zakir Musa is the leader

. .
i can only wish if it was true.
you do realize terrorism has no religion.
India turning nationalistic(read Hindu here) at this moment in time is precisely what Pakistan would have wished. I thank you for that.
And al qaeda linking itself with Indian Muslims is exactly what the Hindu nationalists had wished for. Serves their purpose.
BTW Indian nationalist and hindu nationalist has to come under the same banner of "BJP" because there is no other right wing party in India...we have dozens of left wing one,but only one right wing..so many other nationalists, anti-socialists,anti -communists also get called"Hindu nationalist " .

So basically majority vs minority.
Political genocide breeds real genocide

Well everything takes time. These are things which don't happen overnight.
70 years is a short time.

The seculars aren't doing that well indeed.

But i hope its doesn't come to this. Pakistan values a stable India.

Stepping up its activity in India, Al-Qaeda has formally announced establishment of a new Kashmir-based terror group—Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.

The group will be led by the former Hizb-ul Mujahedeen commander, and one of Burhan Wani's successors, Zakir Musa.

The "statement of establishment" was disseminated today on social media by the Global Islamic Media Front, the online propaganda distribution arm of Al-Qaeda.
"After the martyrdom of heroic Mujahid Burhan Wani the Jihad in Kashmir has entered a stage of awakening, as the Muslim Nation of Kashmir has committed to carry the flag of Jihad to repel the aggression of tyrant Indian invaders, and through Jihad, and with the aid of Allah only, we will liberate our homeland Kashmir," it said

"For this goal, a new movement of Jihad has been founded by the companions of martyr Burhan Wani under the leadership of Mujahid Zakir Musa," the statement said.

Musa quit Hizb-ul Mujahedeen in May this year, after the group refused to back his audio clip, warning the separatist leaders not to term the Kashmir issue “political” and not religious.

Since then, the 23-year-old jihadi has reportedly owed support to Al-Qaeda.

In his last audio clip, the former Hizb commander had slammed Indian Muslims for not coming forward to join Islamic jihad. Recalling multiple instances of lynching of Muslims by cow-vigilantes, Musa shamed them for not standing up for the victims.

Intelligence agencies had expected Musa to emerge as the global terror outfit's first choice to lead its Kashmir operations.

Notably, AQ’s Indian sub-continent branch (AQIS) had released a 20-page ‘Code of Conduct’ for its fighters during Eid-ul-Fitr last month, outlining the objectives of the group in the region. The document had several references to Kashmir, hinting at expanding operations in the valley.

So does this means.. US is landing in Kashmir... anytime soon, and we are going to witness bloodshed of Kashmiris in same fashion as in Afghanistan?

Good news for India. As India claims all the time, let see how India will deal them. All the best

. . . .
The problem is the same, it's just the scale that varies.. these so called Kashmiri "mujahideen" are no different from ISIS or Boko Haram, the follow the same hateful foreign ideology.

That's true.
But my reply was in a different context.

Kashmir struggle has been changed for ever.... Terrorist supporters will be in a fix in coming days...They will be forced to act against them at home and support them elsewhere......It is not a freedom struggle anymore.... It is turning to be a religious one..... It has its own advantage and disadvantages for India.....

I agree that Kashmir 'struggle' has been changed for ever...with old guard saying that struggle is about nationalism, and with new generation talking about caliphate and sharia. Even the new name of the AQ front has no Kashmir in it and is called 'Ansar Ghazwat-Ul-Hind'.

However, I will disagree that this is disadvantageous for India...a struggle for caliphate and sharia makes Kashmir 'struggle' a part of Islamic extremism associated with ISIS and AQ and hence will come under international terrorism.

To be honest, there is some danger and it needs to be taken care of on a war footing. The AQ outfit is named after their long standing dream of gazwa e Hind. But I am confident that our security forces will wipe this outfit and this dream out...just like they wiped out the other Islamic terrorist groups.
