China, which is yet to fully endorse India's permanent membership of the UN Security Council, today said it supports India's "desire" to play a bigger role in the UN and will strive to work out a "package plan" to reform the powerful organ of the world body.

"We attach great importance to the role and status of India as a major developing country in regional and international affairs," Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei told media here, responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks that India has the "right" to be in the UNSC and the days of "begging" for it are gone. "We understand and support India's desire to play a big role in multi-lateral institutions including the UN," Hong said.

"The Chinese side will continue to make efforts with all parties to strive for a package plan that accommodates concerns and interests of all parties through extensive democratic consultation," Hong said. This is the first time China spoke of a "package plan". Asked whether the "package plan" referred to UNSC, Hong clarified that it is mainly about the reform of the UN Security Council.

"Reforms of the UN Security Council concern a wide range of elements as well as the interest of all members of the Security Council. We maintain that we should strive for consensus through democratic consultation," the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said.

Translation:

hmmm... permanent WC seat first, permanent UN seat second?

This translates as "we understand your requirement but I don't mean to support". A typical Chinese diplomatiic statement.
Not like other countries, Chinese diplomatic words are quite rigid and regular.:p:

I don't want to go into a pointless debate about if Japan has SINCERELY apologised or not, but what I know for sure is that south Korea and China are not making a big fuss about such things for nothing, fact is there are several things some Japaneseright wing officials say about their past war crimes during WWII that if it was in Germany they will be imprisoned/prosecuted, and it negates any past apologies they might have made.Anyway thats another topic.

We could discuss this elsewhere.

By that logic Allied nations also should be targeted for reparations.

As for we, France, and U.S being(maybe) reluctant to let Germany (or even India) join, its simply because no country wants to dilute their influence and let in another bigger competitor/peer. Its not like we hate Germans, Indians etc, nor is it because we are blaming current Germans for Hitlers actions. Its simply out of self interests as always.

You are correct here as well; it is all about firepower and economy.

Japan and Germany initiated the war and lost so they had to cede their high seats to the victors, while India wasn't even independent then hence no seat. As I said India is simply sour cuz its not part of it, had India been in P 5 it too will never agree to let others in (most of all its rivals like china, pakistan etc) since it will like to keep its priviledge as well. Lool do you deny this?

Perhaps yes, perhaps no. Maybe China but not Pakistan. Our ties with China are not as bad as they might seem on this forum. We agree on a lot of things in real life.

The sourness is not because we don't have it; it is because we contributed maximum troops in the WW2 and still nothing good came out for our contribution. Independent or not, we contributed to the Allies big time and they haven't given our due.

Ideally we should withdraw from all UNPKF missions but it is the best way for our soldiers to get international exposure to enemies without unilateral invasions like NATO so our government is just agreeing to this.

Yes I already said the current system of P5 is unfair since things have changed a lot today, but that doesn't mean anything at all to the P5 members, geo politics is not a clean/moral/ fair game, countries will always seek to protect their interests/positions no matter what others might think or say. So India has to accept the current situation and just pray/hope some unforseen event might happen in future which might lead to P5 enlargement, nothing much you can do.

As other countries emerge, it is unlikely that P5 or P8 or any such grouping would be possible. The new order so to speak would be more multilateral and more commercial/civilian than the gunboat tactics of the current UNSC.

It may take some years but that will be the reality to go forward as more globalization occurs and more countries are pulled out of poverty.

Correction USA won independence by fighting for independence. They really fought for independence compared to a favour given to Indian for supporting British in WW2. But guess what look at USA today and British today we have left them behind to become the sole superpower. You see the difference this is winning independence gets you. May God Bless USA for Ever and Ever :usflag::usflag::usflag::usflag: and for all of its enemies or ill wishers i have :butcher::butcher::butcher:
Er..............I think you misunderstood me.

the member Luca1 beleives that "USA is a British creation" and USA owes its existence to Britain.

We find the above notion very hilarious given USA "fought" for its independence.

But the UN dropped Kashmir from being a disputed territory so what else is there to talk about?

According to them it is a internal matter between India and Pakistan to resolve.

My God a simple question my Indian friends try to change in different direction. Read my question again and again and it in yes or no, not in if, but, eventually or other bullshit

You brought up the UN and now your question is another? but I already told you we had free and fair elections in Kashmir this year.

.
Nice suggestion. But it would make more sense if it came from Jiang Yi-Huah more than you guys, the original participants of UNSC.

It was not possible to follow until you and your financial masters also abandoned the troops and withdrew.

Indian licking other their own masters and think Pakistan is same as them

Try again to understand my question and answer it in yes or no and my question is not about election in Kashmir

I don't know what your question is, as the UN already removed Kashmir from it's disputed list. They said it was a internal matter between India and Pakistan to resolve and that's where we stand at the current moment.

That is a problem of Indian mind set and they are just following it blindly. The resolution of Kashmir was past and was there more then 50 years and India didn't follow that, so how he is claiming from same institution to give them major role and its past shows that India didn't respect that. Do India have moral right to claim that?

I think you fail to understand the UN does not see it as a problem but you do.

Now you can try to take Kashmir by force (you been trying for decades now) or you can make LOC the international border but either way Kashmir is part of India.
